Sparky
My Virgin mobile only works in the middle of the island so I'm going to change to a new provider. Does Orange have good coverage in Shetland?
trout
If you want any sort of "proper" coverage you will need to choose between Vodafone and O2.
Roxy71
Vodafone is definately the most reliable

McFly
Does Orange have good coverage in Shetland? Orange has very strange coverage Sparky. I'm on Orange and have found, when I'm home visiting the folks, that coverage in Lerwick is patchy, which seems odd. It's totally non existant in Scalloway and much of the west side. It seems to work quite well in some parts up north, but again it's patchy. By far the best area for Orange is the sooth end. Particularly Bigton! Figure that one out if you can I'd go along with everyone above and say that Vodafone's probably your best bet.
Sparky
Balls, there goes my plan to subscribe to Orange on a £30/mth package with free broadband then Vodafone it is.

BigMouth
It's a shame that T-Mobile is so poor on the reception front. My son got a SE810i on contract for £25 ish a month with an allowance (spend it any way you like) of £180 (yes one hundred and eighty quid). Pooks
If it is contract that you are after then pick your best deal between Vodafone and O2. Vodafone generally has better coverage although there aren't many places you can't get O2 now (as far as I know). For Pay as you go then I don't think you can beat the O2 online option. 300 free texts a month, 10% back on your top-ups and numerous other freebies they throw at you through the year. Vodafone seems to give you an option of sod all or sweet sod all for its pay as you go offerings.
