So who is gong to get this women the psychological help she needs ?

I see the standard of reporting the paper is down to the usual UK standard.

Everytime I read an article like this it reassures me I am missing nothing by not buying the rag.

"Scientists who supplied the data used by the Scottish Government to help judge windfarm applications have called for an end to developments on peatlands.

Jo Smith, Dali Rani Nayak and Pete Smith from Aberdeen University have expressed grave doubts about the wisdom of the policy in a letter to the journal Nature.

The team previously helped develop the “carbon calculatorâ€, which is used by the Scottish Government and energy companies to assess the impact of windfarms on carbon emissions.

It measures whether the construction of a windfarm on peatland will result in more carbon being released than would be saved during the development’s 25-year lifespan.

Like rainforests, peatlands — which are formed from decomposing wet vegetable matter — lock in carbon. In their letter to the journal, the team say they believe that building large-scale windfarms on healthy peatlands may be self-defeating because of the disturbance and dessication caused during the construction process.

The Mountaineering Council of Scotland said the letter clearly had “profound implications for where turbines should be situated in Scotland and elsewhereâ€."

Well, many of us knew that, didn't we?

So, apart from the above, we also have the situation whereby the interconnector is looking more doubtful, given how much the other one is costing and has been delayed (Costs increased by around 75%). Just when is the plug going to be pulled on VE?

They already have planning permission.

The increased connector costs are artificial in that UK Government are wanting to tax it. I say stuff the Loony UKG and build the cable to Norway.

Then the next time the UKG Minister wants to visit and ponce around trying to kid us how good he is, he should be left standing at the airport.
