And not an unreasonable representation either, People in Nesting may well be looking at upward of 30 crammed into a relatively small skyline area, this is only 15.

^^ When they plan them to be standing as tight as in the lower picture, from the top of Shurton all along the western skyline of Lerwick as far as Rova Head, I'll start believing that the people behind Viking do believe in what they're preaching for some of the right reasons, and aren't just keen on it to make a quick buck so long as the mess is NIMBY.

I doot dey wir a drap a 'Wiffy's coffee' gyaan aboot ta mak pictirs laek yun.

Precisely, thank you Colin. Nesting westward skyline will hold both those turbines on the east side of the Kames road and those on the west side, the view from Brunt Hamarsland North will be denser still, similarly looking from Lunna southward and i dare say there will be a few on the skyline above Aith, etc, etc. Because of the size, number and distribution of them few perspectives on them will provide a nice heart-warming image like that of Burradale.

Purely addressing the daytime aesthetic implications.

Any more strong coffee like last nights and i might have to present a night-time red flashing light view, or even super-impose them on a photo of an area, something i have resisted so far.

I understand the point that a whole group of turbines makes a very different impression from an individual one, and I'd not argue that the VE proposals would not be a big visual intrusion, but as the layout is pretty much in the form of a line of turbines down the ridge of the hills, there will be relatively few places where there you will see a great number of turbines overlapping.

The visual impact of the proposals should not be underestimated...... or over estimated..... but I appreciate it is also subjective to some extent.

Looking at the bottom one for more than 30 seconds gives me an extremely strong compulsion to, as a certain elected member allegedly said, "put a bomb under it", or words to that effect.

I, of course, will resist all urges to act upon this compulsion, should virtuality become reality.....maybe!

I sure as hell dont want to be living too close to one of these things

parts of it found embedded into the ground 500 meters away, a small one compared to the ones planned for here, when they explode in a storm, probably be a 1000+ meter zone of shrapnel
