Urabug Posted March 25, 2020 Report Share Posted March 25, 2020 It would appear to me that their was no "concrete" evidence to substantiate any of those women's claims of sexual harassment so this indictments should never have been brought to court in the first place. As I see it this gives Alex Salmond a very good case against those who charged him and put him on trial , without the evidence to back it up. Still think that Alex probably did have "wandering" hands but without evidence no point in pursuing the matter. This was probably more to do with First Minister trying to appease the females in our communities who claim they get little response when they complain about harassment to the police, but without the necessary evidence what can they do. When you do drop the allegation its in the hopes that your opponent will drop whatever challenging issue was on the table and shift focus on defending said allegation. In legal theory yes but in legal practice not so much.this is a case where there is no physical evidence and its entirely based on testimony of events that often happen conveniently when there are no witnesses. Furthermore judges are often more sympathetic to women which leads to statistically lower sentences for identical crimes and favorable decisions such as custody. as i said beforeThere may be one de jure but not de facto! By the way there's a civil war going to erupt within the SNP once the pandemic is over. Salmond is thirsting for blood and Nicola and her husband are in the crosshairs.
