  1. Better nip back to the ad hoc supply cupboard Inky... No Time Dilation for Distant Quasars http://news.discovery.com/space/no-time-dilation-for-distant-quasars.html You do know what that implies, dont you? Don't worry; like a team turning up for the world cup and insisting on using their jumpers for goalposts, then shifting them as they please; I'm sure your lot will think of a way to make it look as if it's not a direct hit on their sacred paradigm. I don't know how many more nails that coffin can take but sooner or later the whole things gonna split wide open.

  3. I didn't type in KOI 74b earlier on this page just as a random key punching exercise but to leave folk to look it up themselves and ponder on it but since you haven't; allow me... http://news.discovery.com/space/blazing-stellar-companion-defies-explanation.html KOI 74b, has a temperature of 39,000 Celsius, while its stellar host is only 9400 Celsius. This cannot be explained with consensus theories. Why would a planet be hotter than a star?
  4. Interesting you should pull that card to detract from, rather than try to articulate an argument against the many points raised. To realise that the mainstream model is failing badly is not conspiracy theory; although it is willfully ignorant to say it is fine. Don't get all defensive and insulting just because you're wrong Inky. I understand it's not your fault and that you were never encouraged to think for yourself about these things.

  6. 30 points that those who consider that nothing seems amiss, may want to consider... http://fascistsoup.com/2010/04/11/einstein-was-wrong/ Don't forget to play 20 questions, with Professor Donald Scott...
  7. Lovelock seems a bit of a romantic in his view of the hows and whys of the way things interact. An entity which seeks to make conditions for life more user friendly may be part true but only in the same way that Zebras invented Lions so the herd would be stronger and faster with more grass for the ones that don't get their guts ripped out. If there's any good in his ramblings; it's that it may be the first steps away from the idea that all life on the planet is nothing more than a freak accident in a dying Universe. That Galaxies are born and evolve is inevitable. That stars sprout planets is inevitable and once a planet of the right size finds an electrical balance in the right place for life to take off; then it inevitabley will. Lovelock seems to think the land was put here in order to keep his feet dry and because his feet are dry; sees this as proof of his theory. Life finds balance by f*****g, fighting and feeding in its desperate attempt to stay alive and this is about all any lifeform has time to worry about. To say we are somehow connected to the planet and other living things in a variety of ways is hardly breaking new ground. Lovelock has chosen Gaia as his god and because we're not living up trees any more, he thinks we have forsaken the holy truth and has now settled on giving out the fire and brimstone speech for our sins against Gaia.
  8. The steak with peppercorn sauce; nom nom, C'est Bon. Apart from that it's any port in a storm. Except the Wheel bar; that place sucks.
  9. Yin to the yang, totally hi-tek. Already I am working my mic-saber into the second verse. Skulking in shadowy corners, under teatowel bandana, my blades swing freely - Ninja is hardcore - It's not sore... http://i42.tinypic.com/snjb.jpg Fly-talking, sky-walking, like a ninja http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/characters/character0155.gif *
  10. Nuts enough to convince those around him to set in motion a gameplan that would see everything and everyone they know destroyed in an instant? I don't believe that it is just a matter of a big red button on a desk that a careless hand could fall on. Except in America of course.
  11. If said tinpot military dictator was to start flinging out nukes; they better hope for a very large supply of virgins waiting, for when the retaliation strike lights up their world. It's one thing to send in some lone wolf nutjob suicide bomber, to die for the cause but does this scale up to making their whole nation a suicide bomber? as their cause would be blown to atoms, along with all their people in the reply strike.
  12. Die Antwoord. Got so hardcore, he broke the speed of gangsta and became ninja. caution - Swearies, like a fly talking, sky walking, Nin...Ja

  15. Indeed, I use this to get the cat in often and am not surprised at all, how often it finds itself duped into being brought inside on sheer faith that it will get fed; only to find it has been the victim of a cunning ruse and that no food is in fact on offer. I find science can often be used in this way, to fool the feeble minded, who rely on faith alone about who they think they can always trust.

  17. "Experts" now give their explanation to the ice circles... http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=no&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aftenposten.no%2Fnyheter%2Firiks%2Farticle3555252.ece&sl=no&tl=en Of course the first thing they have to do to arrive at their theory, is to ignore the eyewitness account about any strange light seen over the lake. And their model is saved once more.
