Correct me if I'm wrong, but nearly every post in the music section is advertising a gig or event of sorts, and has been for quite some time. It's a great place for letting people know what's on. We're just a bunch of guys who love music and want something different to do once in a while, and see some good bands from south up in Shetland. If other people are into what we are doing, then it's a bonus, but we have to let them know. Yes, we are advertising, but not to turn a profit. We are just advertising a good time. This might be hard for you to understand, but it's the honest truth.

Hey Shetlandstar, I am not sure what Mareel is planning with club nights, however We are holding club nights in Baroc as an alternative to Posers/Shetland pubs. We feel its time shetlands nightlife had a bit of variety. Looking to have monthly club nights with different music themes for each of them. Our next club night is on November 17 called RETROSPECT featuring ‘retro’ music. Think motown, reggae, disco, funk, rock’n’roll & northern soul.
