Shocking Sentence deferred Thursday, 18 April 2013 | Written by Shetland News SENTENCE on a registered sex offender for storing photos of naked children on his computer was deferred at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Thursday until robbery charges he faces before the high court have been dealt with. Sheriff Philip Mann deferred sentence on the 54 year old until 17 October to await the outcome of the high court proceedings.
  2. What a load of hype, Shetland or Scottish, obviously as and when it suits
  3. No my connection has been down since yesterday afternoon, getting very annoyed now!!!!! Lets see what 9pm brings!!!!

  5. Hi, left tae last minute as usual!!! Anyone who knows anyone that can't make gig and has two tickets going please pm me. Thanks in advance
  6. How soft has our country become...................Any where else in the world and they would have been removed by force, and they should be. Pointless excercise by complete headline grabbing numpties
  7. KTL, I think your missing the point, people are adding a little shetland humour to these idiots. The fact is though as said before they are putting more at risk in clinging to a prepared safety device should things go wrong. I am sure it is normal procedure for the Stenna Carron to do this and good old Greenpeace feel it is acceptable to put us and Shetland at risk. Well done Greenpeace
  8. Seriously though, these clowns seem to have taken the law in too there own hands. Wouldn't it be worth it to get a few people together, a boat some hoses etc and just knock these clowns off the boat!!! Like that terrorist attempt at Glasgow airport, shetland is not the place to come and get public support about oil exploration!! How much gas did there boat use to get here!!!! God help us if our emergency services are tied up saving one of those clowns and somewhere someone else is in desperate need. Tools of the highest order
  9. Work on the vessel has to carry on, I would just stick a hose reel over the side of the boat that directly pours freezing cold water on them all night, they won't hang about (excuse pun) much. If they have put themselves in that position then tough s*it.
  10. odd place to come, there's no trees here for there hugging sessions!!! Someone better warn kergord of a possible mass influx of complete tools
  11. Just pull the anchor up when they are ready to set sail, the mindless idiots will soon fall off (** mod edit - Mind the T&Cs – in this instance, there’s a fine line between having a joke and advocating violence **)
  12. Same as electricity, go to youswitch.com, I'm saving nearly 400 quid a year using edf energy rather than scottish hydro!!!!! Simples....................
  13. I used BlindsUK.net for some blackout blinds, they do all types. Had a little chase up to do on order but quick response, worryingly no phone number but blinds arrived, perfect fit. 3 blinds delivered to Shetland for £127, was going to be £270.00 at Frank Williamsons, all for supporting local business but there does come a financial point when you have to take a close look, before anyone says about quality, ordered same blinds a while back from Frank Williamsons (for work) and scarily exactly the same, even the packaging!!!!!!
  14. Great, thanks for all the help, hopefuly make some progress now.
  15. Thanks for info Njugle, wrought iron would be fine, will go on the hunt now for decent welder, anyone know anyone that would be happy to have a look at it can pm me. Thanks again in advance
