I tried once, it's through interflora. I was told they couldn't deliver. I suppose since ZE2 and 3 include places like Fair Isle, I guess they don't want to risk it? For them it would be easier and cheaper just to exclude the postcode.

Where ARE the best places to eat and have good coffee?
DizzyKipper replied to ThePeerieTrow's topic in Food & Drink
Not too keen on the cup cake place... £1.50 for a fairy cake with a pile of topping? Was dry and not that nice. However I concede I've only ever had one in there. At least there their cups/mugs are not 2cm thick like for the hot chocolate in Peerie cafe. Museum is ok, Olive Tree is quite nice The Havly I've been in a few times, the sofas are nice, the table chairs are uncomfortable. On weekday mornings your coffee is accompanied by the wails of pre-schoolers as the mums go in for a chinwag... knowing there are toys for the kiddies. As I mentioned before, even when it's empty it's taken 15 mins to get a hot chocolate. I'm always sat in there wondering if they are picking the pods/beans themselves... Ahh don't mind me, I'm tired and should go to bed -

Havly cafe is slow any time of day, even when there is no one else in there. -

See now you have confused me. I thought for night shots you needs a slower shutter speed to let more light in. I think maybe I need to read up somewhere... Going off topic I feel. And yes that looked like the right position for mars [Dizzy going into bad weather stress mode] -

Should have looked behind you, Mars is very bright in eastern sky after sunset As for the camera, the timer is just for the time you need to put it down? (I have Off, 2 sec and 10 sec.) Nothing to do with the shutter being open and stuff? Is that automatically longer? I also have auto settings low light/twilight, one that says high ISO, or I can put it in program mode and select an ISO figure (amongst other things). Which is best for night sky? Thanks And now it's raining -

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W50 6mp. I've never used it on anything other than automic programmed settings. Just been fiddling, it has ISO 1000, is that low light? I can see anything to keep shutten open and in any case I don't have a tripod. http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/DSC-W50 -

I checked again at 3.45am but I couldn't see it then, it had gone. I've seen a few 'white' ones now, but never the green or red ones -

I think the point is she supposedly returned it in a 'poor' state see http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-17200560 Also that it could have been seen as cosying up between the police and the press, so lending her a horse might not have been such a wise move, even if it was all innocent.

The only mammal that doesn't have a call is a giraffe because it doesn't have a voicebox.

Windy tomorrow! One magic seaweed gives worst around 3-6pm, north atlantic view gives it worst at 9am-ish. Met offices says south end 70+mph 12-6pm-ish. Now all three UK/north atlantic/north atlantic 16 day say different things! Seems pretty gusty already

Thanks I will have a look. There are 2 logs that I can easily get to, but I was kinda hoping for something that would make a pretty graph or two to look at.

I was looking north about 2am after reading your post, and there was a clear sky all over apart from north where there was big bank of snow cloud. Could see it bright around the edges of it though. 30 mins earlier would have been ace -

I wanted to get to one of the white boxes that monitored your connection from SamKnows, but after the completing the first two steps, and waiting for it to arrive I got an email saying they had enough people! It would be nice to see what's going on. Does anyone have any recommendations? Software needs be free/open source and take minimal resources. Thanks
