The sands where Burn of Lunket runs into the sea (East Burrafirth) used to be good, I've not been for a few years now though. -
OK I'll bite, offer me your "proof" and we'll take it from there.

You would need to post the above in English, with correct capitalization and punctuation, then maybe we can talk Oh and by the way, £100 is small fry, the James Randi foundation will give you $1,000,000, yes that's six zero's if you can show proof of the "paranormal" Go and claim your prize, (or not I suspect)

We have and have had 8, 9 ,or 10 Rock doves feeding in the garden for the past 12 years, do they count? I have seen other varieties elsewhere but we always seem to attract the Rock doves.

Priorities For Policing In Shetland
Suzanna replied to PoliceScotlandShetland's topic in Shetland News
It saddens me that as a small Island with very limited access, illegal drugs seem to be such an ongoing problem, how are they [the drugs] getting in here? And why aren't the drug dogs [that I support financially] Catching more dealers? It's my belief that illegal drugs lead to a lot [most?] of the other problems. -

Aith marina is very well sheltered and has vacant berths, it also has electric and water hook ups plus toilets with shower facilities. Leisure centre is right next door and the shop is a short walk up the road. -

Can anyone help, Westside Delivery left a parcel at my house, it was delivered to the wrong address, two calls to them leaving messages have resulted in nothing. Tried contacting TNT who sub contracted but nothing back from them either. The parcel should have gone to a Shaun Missenden Old School House Urafirth ZE29HR can't find a phone number for him, the parcel has stickers saying contains medical equipment. Any help would be appreciated. -

The gay community (is there such a thing?) Don't want anything that you don't have, nor do they want to deprive you of any rights that you already have, how difficult is that for you to grasp? Maybe you could learn to spell before commenting further. Just a thought.

Yep us country folk don't stand a chance, good job we stock up in advance. I'll take a trip into town on Sat and see what remains after all the townie's have stripped the shelves.

I've had my Snow Trac winter tyres on since October, didn't stop me sliding off the road 2 miles past Voe, I'd driven over the alps as I do every day summer and winter and had no problem, the bend in the road and the bad camber plus the very black sheet ice left me slowly sliding off the road. The ambulance came to check there were no casualty's and he slid as well, as did the police when they got out of their vehicle, the road was like a skating rink, when the gritter finally came he'd to make 4 passes spraying all over the road very carefully, we were advised by the police to climb the bank in case the gritter went the same way as the cars and bus. That was the worst part of my daily trip in and I honestly don't think SIC could have forseen that, I've always thought they did a very good job and still think that compared to South they do. All praise to all the services that helped clear the roads today, brave people one and all.

That's what I thought, then 3 hours later my battery went flat

Keep your finger on the power button for a few seconds to force a shutdown, then start in the usual way, I had the same problem with the last update.

Thank you James, I've always watched 'Bake Off' but you made it a little more personal this series coming from our Lovely Island, and congratulations on becoming Dr James, John deserved to win tonight his Chocolate Chiffon looked lovely, but you provided the most cake for the party.
-
Go James, good luck next week for the final, star baker again this week, the bike was a classic, a James 'wing it' production.
-
Me too, I've watched every season, seems there's not many shetlinker bakers about though.
-
Has anyone besides myself been watching this? Good fun and good baking and a Shetlander competing. I've enjoyed it so far and I hope James does well.
