  1. The results went our way tonight. If we win against Copenhagen on the 20th, we qualify for the knockout stages. Biggest game in years!
  2. No stand out games for the live tv spot. I would love to see the Morton vs Gretna game, but I doubt Sky would bother their arses with that. Obvious choice is one of the all premier ties.
  3. Can't be disappointed after that performance. Very proud.
  4. Not naming any names...but does it really count as "100 Shetland Women" if you photograph the same one thrice?
  5. Tommy Burns can piss off. He is as responsible for the whole Berti Vogts debacle as Berti Vogts was. McCallister apparently gave a "very promising interview" after Walter Smith left so he may be approached.

    Rilo Kiley

Ok, this lot have replaced The Hold Steady as my "awesome band that not many people have heard of that I claim as mine" for the moment. Just back from seeing them in Glasgow tonight, fantastic stuff. I suggest getting out and grabbing "Under the Blacklight". Apparently on Dermot O'Leary's radio 2 show this weekend so I think I'll have to give that a listen. So lets all discuss everything Rilo Kiley related, and about how much you want to make Jenny Lewis your wife.
  7. Just a quick note - Sitting at work at lunchtime today (in Edinburgh) and my boss says "Do you know that young band from Orkney or Shetland? Black Bic Biro". Not sure how he heard about them...but its spreading
  8. Why? And Jay_Corolla is best served with a pinch of salt...and an "ignore" feature.

  10. If we make it an ugliest player competition, can I just post a picture of Davie Dodds and be done with it?
  11. Can I use this one then? http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/42949000/jpg/_42949125_hearts_fans_sombrero.jpg
  12. Apt after yesterdays shambles.
  13. Genuine letter printed in El Mundo, a spanish newspaper, following Rangers visit there this week... It's so beautiful, I nearly cried. Here is the link if anyone wants to read it in Spanish... http://www.elmundodeportivo.es/web/gen/20071108/opinion_53409675639.html
  14. Played pretty well overall tonight. Andy Considine was the only player I really had a gripe with tonight, he looked woefully out of depth. It's difficult now, it always was going to be. 3 points is a must against Copenhagen to have any chance of going through. And I'm going to go into the Atletico game heart over head I think... I don't care, I love the Dons
  15. Negatory. Moving an injured player improperly can cause further injury - see Durrant following the Neil Simpson tackle. The goalkeeper, regardless of his actions, should have known better...and should have been carded. Nice to see United fall apart when their keeper and the Ginger Prince have an off day.
  16. hehehe, you can always rely on the Scottish Parliament to balls up a draw
  17. You are actually one of the worst kind of Old Firm fans. To you, your team is never outplayed...there is always some mitigating factor..."The ref was biased"..."it was too cold"..."we were concentrating on Europe". It's absolutely disgusting. Your response is old and cliched..."sad state of affairs that this is all you will have to celebrate this season". That is so downright disrespectful it's embarrassing. Every team in Scotland, nae, the WORLD has the right to celebrate a win and all you can do, instead of doing the decent thing and congratulating the opposition fans...or at the very least keeping your f'ing mouth shut, is give the standard response of an Old Firm fan who doesn't know how to take a defeat. It's petty, it's childish, but it's nothing more than I would expect from that lot. You sicken me.
  18. Anyone happen to be watching the Dolphins - Giants game from Wembley this evening?
  19. Sigh. That Panathingummyjig game pissed me off. They clearly showed they were nothing special, but 3 goals was a harsh result I felt...even though we were pretty feckless going forward at times. I don't think Lee Miller can cut it as a lone striker. His first touch is something special for a guy of his size and stature, but he doesn't seem to be able to hold the ball up long enough. Had Mackie been fit, we might have made something of the few chances we had. The 3rd goal pissed me off the most, Langfield made a good save, not sure he could have done any better with pushing the ball around the post etc. However our wall standing watching the Greek guy follow the ball in? What level are you playing at? I believe the only player who followed the ball in was Zander Diamond and, unfortunately, he was on the wrong side of the box. Richard Foster seemed really annoyed that Diamond was shouting at him for doing nothing. Anyway, the main thing in these groups is to take full points at home, something we can still do...and something that Lokomotiv can't. I still believe.
  20. Could we lock all the Rangers and Celtic fans in one room. I don't care if they sort out their differences, it just means I don't have to listen to them. I love Moorit, I think you were letting your Celtic scarf blow over your face at times last weekend.
  21. Dunno about that. Madrid in Aberdeen in December...they freeze their balls off, we score lots of goals. Anyway, win our home games and we have a good chance of going through.
  22. Any chance we'll still be in Europe when the schools break for Christmas? Maybe thats a little too much foresight, but I've never been so proud to be a Dons fan. "All the way, every night and day, singing a European song"
  23. RE: The review in the Times. Is it not just possible that the reviewer may have had slightly differing tastes to what was on stage?
  24. Very impressive performance tonight given some of the sharn we've seen this season, Considine (last 20 seconds aside) and Diamond were excellent tonight. Smith never stopped, Clark needs to have more confidence in himself to take players on and shoot. I'm probably going to soil myself during the away leg.
