http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/922131?UserKey= they are not telling the whole truth they are not cutting jobs but they are not filling empty posts. the wards are finding it hard to run with the staff they have. Any cuts and your health and life will be at risk. if there is a major flu or other eerdemic they could not cope.

Ive no idea who it was. It was getting dark all i could see was tail lights the flash as the gun went off and the sheep running. I didnt fancy approaching someone with a gun in the dark. I was just wondering was it common for drive by bunnycide.

The Official "Welcome President Obama" Thread.

Hope he does the other guy looks like he should be heading for the care centre. Whats the odds he will survive through his first term. There are the odd one or two neo nazi types nocking about over there. That assuming they vote him in and that there machines have not been messed about with. -
Hence my question, I wondered if Paul was being specific with the funding he was referring to. I'm not sure how much the shareholders have effectively lost as well. i was guessing that there would be public money in there somewhere. what about those that bought the whiskey did they ever get there case of drink.

he would be nether just a man in the right place at the right time. milk the rich yank and buy a bigger farm. -
How on earth did the trust fail in this wonderful chance to throw money away. They must have been slacking. Shetland booze made in scotland, I suppose that makes sense when you can buy your Shetland smokehouse fish from there to. Somewhere there was a mention of bottled water now thats an idea just as its becoming unfashanable to drink bottled water.

how about that poor farmer who is refusing to sell. Can you imagine him milking his cows with golf balls falling around him. maybe he should buy some ravens. Its aways the way the rich aways get what they want. -

how many job per oyster catcher. -
Not sure if this ok. but a guy has been driving around up here blasting away from his car at bunnies. was watching him for a few minutes he was shooting into a lot of diffrent fields all with sheep/ponies in. the kids were out with the sheep at the time it spooked them. thats the kids. i know that the bunnies are a problem but there are better ways than blasting into fields of livestock with a shotgun.

for a single house/ factory., but a whole extension to a town they would object even if they have no legal power. Owner occupied is still covered by the crofting act. still if the landowners a going to make a killing let them pay. Way to much for 400 people. The folks there chose to live on an island hence a ferry. I dont see them rushing to the aid of papa stour.

pity.

I think he's saying it may have had issues with the heavier than air concept. So if fly be do the scasta job any chance it can be used for standard flights if Sumborough is fogged in.

all this land on bressay is it not croft land. the council may want to build on it, the landowner may but the crofters commission may have a diffrent view.

Supermarkets in Shetland - prices, ethics and experiences
paulb replied to breeksy's topic in Shetland News
May cost them more. so they stock there profit leaders more. ive just bought half a pig from the whiteness butchers. £80 for 30kilos about 2.30 a kilo. looked in Tesco's and saw 3 pork chops for a bit under £4 and Co-op were no cheaper. SO if whiteness can supply pork thats been cut up boned and rolled plus sausages for the £2.30 why cant the supermarkets. by the way very nice meat to.- 2,063 replies

why not a single track with a speed limit of 20-30mph. if its good for unst it will work there. The tunnel is about 1500m or about a mile; a walkway is not such a good idea with the risk of fumes, accidents. it looked like the tunnel was very long on land could they not devise a surface entry system that did not involve such a nig dig, abit like a quarry road.

Im sure its a (Scott)ish thing. who is in line to make a killing on land values. Who chums are pushing it through. Bressay is not declining if anything its expanding with their ferry. Look at the places were the population is and start there. It would work out cheaper to move the Bressay population out and build them a house on the mainland han build the tunnel.

with the 200 mile fishing and oil rights they just may. but if you were an avid little scotlander were are the pounds going to be spent. they are fast promoting the Gaelic language with alba tv and language in schools. its going to be like wales in 20 years. were going to have Gaelicroad signs. we need to press for the same standing as the Gaelic homelands. shetlanders are proud of there history and tradition. but remember that your history warns us of our future if we dont learn from it. dont be meak and escepting of the crumbs, be pains and we will be noticed. i think we have more chance with the uk and europe. heck if this keeps going its forvick for me.
-
but you voted to devolve powers to scotland and guess what its all been spent on the tram system the new bridge ect. if you think an snp goverment is going to spend money up here your joking. they would not even allow us the ferry scheme that there loyal voters got, maybe our msp should switch sides and then we would get the bribes, or we could pretent we wanted independance that would get lots of money thrown at us.
-
40 million for how many people thats about £100,000 per person. they would all have to do 50,000 trips each to pay for it. that assuming of course that you can charge for it; would the snp goverment be willing to allow a toll. were is the cash coming from us, scotland, uk,europe. still have to ask why bressay first. there ferry is ok and it runs with less disruption due to the weather than most of the others. still say yell should be first its the busyier route.
