When I talk about the songs on Wii Music with my father and tell him about what are the lyrics, he sounds like he came out of pub when he sings!

My fact I never knew before would be: Hexakosioshexekontahexaphobia is the fear of the number 666. Myrmecology is the study of ants.

So you won't like Gillian McKeith then on 'You Are What You Eat'. I think she is anorexic because I think she said that she is a vegetarian (no wonder!)

Gardening
CrunchieSquirrel replied to sandnesspeats's topic in Agriculture / Self Sufficiency / Gardening / Pets
My gardening is very crap, all I do is leave the garden alone! -
I hate the roast chickens on the Northlink, YYYYYYYYYUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!! I am going to avoid them when I'm on the boat, I'll stick to eating crisps, drinking Dr Pepper/Diet Coke/Pepsi and eating my memorial Wispa .

I remember there was some sort of project from the SJHS and there wasn't much stuff to do there; all there was was two tables with a computer on each table in this big room. When my family went there, my sister had a tantrum because she wasn't allowed to play a DVD in the computer! I think it used to be some sort of knitwear warehouse.

If you're going out shopping at Tesco's in Lerwick. When you've got all your shopping and put it on the conveyer belt, look at the 'next customer bar' and you would notice that it's supposed to say: 'Don't forget your Clubcard' It says: 'Dont forget your Clubcard' Huh! bad grammar!!

One night, I was watching a programme on the T.V. about people who suffered from agoraphobia (fear of the outdoors): There was this 11 year old girl and her mother who's an agoraphobic and she hasn't been to school for 3 months! I felt quite sad for her and her mum. I really do.

This is what I think about 'Compare The Meerkat' advert: http://i671.photobucket.com/albums/vv74/orangegeek33/compare-the-meerkat2.jpg It's supposed to be 'Compare the ASBO' -
What were your favourite childhood toys?
CrunchieSquirrel replied to Medziotojas's topic in Anything & Everything Else
I remember that when it was sunny outside, then me and my sister would run into the garden and play: I used to remember that my sister kept throwing things over the wall and that our dad would try to supervise us whilst we play, I remember I would ride on my tricycle in bare feet to the garden and start chasing my sister around the garden! -
I was making myself a website about a book called 'My Sister is Different', if I get some permission then I will give you the website address.

When I was about 7 years old and I was going with my mother's friend and her 3 sons to the Scalloway post office, when we were waiting and me and her youngest son (would've been 3 or 4 years old) were playing a small game of tag. 3 minutes in the game I was backing off and I didn't notice there were cress plants and basil plants on the floor. I accidently tripped over and had my bum on the plants and plastic pots went snap! Everyone in the room started laughing at me and the helpful shop assistant helped me to stand up. When we left, I had a black bum!

I loathe the word 'potato' although my mother says it when she wants one!! I like the tattie or spud (maybe the Scottish for spud is 'spaddie')
-
I don't like the taste of hot cross buns; especially the ones at Tesco's, their hard and I had one this morning with a glass of milk, with the combination, yuck! I like Easter eggs, I eat one a day in Easter.

Describe your day in one word

Boring as usual! -
I remember one time when my family went to Blackpool on holiday and it was very windy and I was wearing a long skirt. When we had our lunch which was fish and chips and that we got surrounded by 42 pigeons! I saw a family taking photos of their children on holiday (I imagine). Until the pigeons flew away, my skirt went up and I had to do the Marilyn Monroe position to prevent them taking a photo of me doing it, but it was too late, they took a photo of me! The family were laughing their heads of because of the incident! It was so embarrasing, now I wear trousers/jeans instead of skirts.

My favourite childhood hobbies would be drawing pictures, sticking my tongue out to the passangers on the buses, it was so fun when I was a little kid. -
I like the Wii, it is quite a good gadget to keep you fit. I like playing the Wii Sports, my favourite one is golf, I always get a birdie and an eagle in it, my skill level is 781. I also like tennis, baseball and bowling. I just lost my professionalism in bowling, I was 1036 and I dropped to 983. .

My favourite chippie is goign to be Frankie's, it was smaller than what I thought it would've been but the food is delicious that it makes you want to clear the whole plate. Last time (well, first time) I went there with my father, the plate looked very healthy and smoked sausage was my only choice because I like having a pineapple ring with my chips. Keep up the good work there!

Supermarkets in Shetland - prices, ethics and experiences
CrunchieSquirrel replied to breeksy's topic in Shetland News
When me and my mother went shopping at Tesco, somebody had put a box of Kipling's Angel Slices in the freezer amongst the pizzas and savoury food. Maybe they thought it would taste good with salt or taste good from frozen!- 2,063 replies

I really hate country music, I am listening to my father's crap music which he sings like a girl! (Especially that song 'Help' from the Beatles, I might catch him singing it and put it on tape! ) I'm more of a Lily Allen fan, I like her songs but with 'Gordon Ramsay's favourite word' used a few times in her songs, a bit concerning.

Supermarkets in Shetland - prices, ethics and experiences
CrunchieSquirrel replied to breeksy's topic in Shetland News
I don't particularly like those 'reduced to clear' shelves, because the food packaging is all battered and bruised and all sorts of abuse on them. I think it's a poor quailty of selling.- 2,063 replies

What did you do when you were a kid?
CrunchieSquirrel replied to CrunchieSquirrel's topic in Anything & Everything Else
I remember when it was the end of the schoolday, I was in my dad's car and I stuck my tongue out to the people in the buses who are going to Brae etc. It was so hilarious! -
When I was little, I loved to draw and do artistic activities. I also liked taking photos, puting photos in photo albums and filming videos.

If you're having a dinner party and you want to spice it up a bit, try my 'Apples with Weetabix filling' Ingredients: 5 Golden Delicious/Granny Smith apples (depends how many people are in your party.) 2 tablespoons of butter. 4 Weetabix biscuits 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of honey. 1. Peel, core and chop the apples in and put them in a bowl of cold water. 2. Crush the weetabix biscuits and add the cinnamon, then mix. 3. Get a small pan, put the butter in the pan and turn the cooker on a medium heat. 4. When the butter is melted, add the weetabix mixture and honey to it, then mix. 5. Take the apples out of the water and place them on a plate. Take a tablespoon and a teaspoon to spoon the mixture into the apples. Note: Take half a tablespoon of the mixture and use the teaspoon to scrape the mixture. 6. Place the apples on a baking tray, set the oven to 200 celsius and put the apples in for 10mins. It's lovely and sweet and the plates would be empty!
