  1. There is a lot to be said for a bit of beardiness. Face warmer, napkin, anti beer sluttering device. Beards are a multi faceted bit of hairy goodness.
  2. I wis at da olive tree on Saturday. I had a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese. It was absolutely fantastic, plenty of filling, they don't seem to be skimping. Service could have been a little faster, I think some of the young eens could do with a little bit more training which may improve efficiency. I would certainly go back and recomend you all try it.
  3. I heard that The Lounge had to apply for planning permission to mount a fag end bin thing on the wall but permission was not granted. I don't know how much truth is in the story but it sounds quite believeable.
  4. How lang is dat in fitbaw pitches and/or double decker buses. Sounds lik a degree of luck and magic would have to be involved, but possible i suppose
  5. Had a fish supper fae da fort chippy da night which was most splendid. Scalloway was used to be my chippy of choice but since changing hands it has gone downhill. Went to the peerie shop cafe on Saturday for lunch, must admit to being a little disapointed. The BLT had the most tasteless tomatoes I have ever eaten and I have my suspicions that the bacon had been reheated a la microwave. The only saving grace was the chocolate torte cake thingy which I can strongly recomend. Moral of the story is- good for coffee and cake, no so good for a BLT.
  6. I just received the PIN number for my air discount card. Unfortunately they haven't sent me my card yet. They willn surely get it all sorted oot eventually. Do you ken if da 40% off applies to the full fare or do you get the same discount off cheaper flights also?
  7. Wir girs has a lot o mossy areas. Any of you girs cutting professionals have any tips to turn mossiness back to girsiness?
  8. Left to da councils devices approx £200 000.
  9. Forgive me if I am being silly, but surely spending £422 000 on a new public toilets at the Esplanade is a pretty poor way to go about saving money. I am not disputting the fact that a new convenience may be required but in the name of all that is holy they must be able to do it for less than that.
  10. Albumen. Not a word I find slipping into conversation very often, but a mighty splendid word never the less. Aggregate. It seems I like words beginning with A.
  11. Quite partial to a butternut, they seem to taste better when bought in 'a quarter of' form as apposed to the ones in pre packed plastico bag. Must agree with drew_peacock cabana's were fantastic had totally forgoten about them. Anyone remember Gambit? A sort of 50/50 dark and milk chocolate mix. Hmmmm sweeties
