the GRSC is still ongoing and needs more members the Venue at Baroc is not ideal but all thats available for now but a change of venue has been discussed and a move will happen in the future hopefully early next year. any members with suggestions should contact any committee member. if there is a club in scalloway i would like to know more about them who to contact to join etc.

teeaybee grated chese stuck on the outside of the bread is certianly not part of the dish of chicken mayo sandwich and maybe it is a cafe without a restaurant like status but soup in any cafe /restaurant or eaterie is usually a starter eaten before the main part of the meal even if it is only a sandwich. The food was good but service poor

we went to the peerie shop cafe and to be honest it is overpriced and poor service. we had soup to start and it was good but our main dish came at the same time (not so good) my wife who hates cheese had grated cheese stuck to bottom of her otherwise tasty looking chicken mayo sandwich. Poor preparation and cleaning down in between orders. I hope this cross contamination is only with the cooked ready to eat food and not carried on with raw and cooked food.probably won't be back.

You're in the wrong place for mushy peas. I don't believe anyone does proper ones up here, just tinned/hydrated marrowfat peas Frankies do mushy peas not tinned marrowfat peas proper mushy peas usually quite good

frankies fish and chips in Brae do a gluten free batter and i have heard it is quite good you usually have a wait of about 15 -20 mins whilst they heat up another fryer but probably worth the wait, or you could phone them in advance and it would be ready for you. their number is 01806 522700 (***Mod Edit - Merged with Gluten Free thread***)

theres a good chippie at old drumchapel and rinaldos at drumchapel shopping centre was good not been for a lot of years to that one though. in the city blue lagoon in sauchiehall street if it still there was my fav. if you get the opportunity to go to fife the anstruther fish bar should be good as i think it has recently won fish and chippe of the year.
