  1. Hi, I have numerous calls and emails about PPI from various different companies, most of them have been blocked now.....However I was wondering if anyone had actually used any of these companies or knows of a reputable one that I could use that won't rip me off. Many thanks in advance.
  2. can someone help by translating the following quotes in to Shetland Dialect please, it's for a christmas project, Many thanks A baby is a blessing a gift from Heaven above A precious little angel to cherish and to love. Cuddles, kisses, snuggles and love That is what baby girls are made of. A wee bit of heaven drifted down from above A handful of happiness.....a heart full of love. Many thanks to those who can help.

  10. The Brae Doctors side is but the Brae Dentist is NHS
  11. Does anyone know whats on for Brae Hop night?? any bands/disco on? cheers
  12. I was asked to go to the GBH by my doctor last week. When I got there I was treated so nicely by the staff at the reception desk, the nurses and the doctor that treated me, In the years I have used the NHS in Shetland from having my babies in maternity to taking them to A&E for bumps and bruises, attending the dentist and my GP, i have never been judged, frowned on or ever felt I was waisting their time. From reception staff, nurses, doctors, cleaners and all others in NHS service I praise you. Thankyou
  13. Absoutley brilliant, looking forward to seeing many more acts coming to shetland, just hope the negativity wont stop you bringing them up. keep it up.
  14. Not an excuse, dumping it where ever you please for kids to hurt themselves on ect, its disgusting there are skips placed everywhere, one in lower Voe just a few miles from the place it was dumped, one also in Brae and stuff was dumped at Mavis Grind, if you cant move it phone the council and ask for help. I know EXACTLY!!!!! the cost of fuel, not stopping my husband from taking old stuff from our house this week to the dump. Disgusting behaviour!!!!!!
  15. I am so dissapointed to see that we have some exceedingly lazy ******* in Shetland and couldnt take their minging old sofa, and other large pieces of furniture and crap to the dump, nope instead found that the Loch of Voe was a more convenient place to dump it. Have people up here really been reduced to being that fricken bone idle. Were they just expecting a good old voar red up fae a pile 'o' bairns. you lazy SODS!!!!!!!
  16. According to the rioters the reason they are doing this is because they havent got money and cant get jobs. What I dont understand is that if the have the B****cks to stand and fight and cause fires and looting why havent they got he B****cks to show their faces, if they are determind to show what they want so much why hide in masks and hoodies. Lack of eduction isnt the problem as even educated people cant get jobs but we are not rioting. Take away benefits from them and the young offenders parents need some education in parenting. With family in London this particular subject is making me angry, but who is to balme the Government or the rioters????? Well done to the Police, taking orders from higher up the food chain must be difficult and you cant be everywhere at the same time, until people spend a day in any police force and in your shoes they will never know what goes on and what you have to endure,
  17. Sending in the army will only bring guns out on the streets not a good idea Keep all names and Photos of those arrested, take all benefits away from them and never allow them any ever again and if THEY ever need Poilce assistance tell them where to stick it. " The BBC has spoken to two girls that took part in Monday night's riots in Croydon, who boasted that they were showing police and "the rich" that "we can do what we want". Playing the 'big I am'
  18. Just curious on everyones opinions about the riots its making my blood boil just watching the news, its mindless violence, do these rioters not realise that this is their own streets that they are attaking, burning and tearing up They are pure scum, dreggs of society, I hope that Scotland does not reduce themselve to the same violence. Watching the prime minister doing his wee speach, telling folk to stop the riots, the majority of the rioters are not intelligent they wouldnt watch the news, the message will not be getting through waste of breath. Just terrible
  19. There was somebody advertising on here the other day saying they had lost a ginger and white cat in the north area of Lerwick, but I cant find the post, sounds like it could possibly be the same cat. Maybe I missed it will check again
  20. I was really looking forward to going to the Tall ships on Saturday, coming down from North and using the park and ride system, but so far hearing from people that went yesterday it is an absolute rip off, I have 3 young boys all with hungry bellies and I will not be paying £4.50 for a hot dog or £8 for 4 long marshmallow flumps or £5 for 4 mins on a trampoline at a fair, its not really very family friendly, I would be intersted to hear others experiences before making the journey tomorrow. thanks
  21. Problem with reporting a mobile phone user is its your word against them a lot of work trying to proove it and being dragged through court, Carry on driving and using your phones even if you use it when its safe, its not going to change how I feel, I still think its dangerous, yakking on the phone you have one hand on the steering and not in full control, its not the best feeling when you have a huge lorry coming past you at 60mph and you see the driver is on the phone, or someone which I saw the other day going past a 20mph not doing 20mph may I add outside a school on their phone, Clever!!! Get a hands free set if its really that important
  22. Point is its against the Law and dangerous and the media makes you aware of the dangers and when I am driving with my 3 children in the car and I read a while back that in England that there was a fatal accident where a driver was texting Im sorry but that becomes ingrained in the brain and makes you more aware of these things. If Officers are seen to be using mobiles whilst driving then more fool them.
  23. It should'nt have to take "PC PLOD" to sort it out, people with half a brain should know that it is dangerous, ah but I guess these are the ones that are invincible, nothing will ever happen, your not the ones that have to clear up the mess that falls to "PC PLOD", does nobody see or read what horrific accidents are caused by someone on their mobile, texting, rolling a fag or changing cd's all as bad as the other,
