Scoop is a great shop, always love going in there when I'm back home. Some things can be a bit more expensive but on the whole I think they have good prices and great food. Starts thinking of banana chips and apricots.......

Yeah I've had the same problems when I moved down to Edinburgh. Asked where I come from and said Shetland a surpring number of folk didn't know where it was either that or thought we were in the Western Isles (They kept getting muddled up with Stornoway). Totally agree wi Njugle as well. I think for me I've always wanted to come back home and would've been back earlier if I hadn't met Mr TA. You just need to concentrate on things and get them going.

Just wondering if anyone plays bowls (The grass/carpet kind) on here? Reason I'm asking is that Mr TA plays them down here and is looking to play them when he (eventually) moves North. I was never interested in it when I was younger so never took any notice of it afore I moved. It's a big thing in West Lothian not sure what it's like at home though, although it's got good coverage in the Times. Thanks for any info

I think that would be an excellent idea being community owned and getting meat, veg, eggs etc there. There are plenty of Farm Shops that have lots of differents produce from around the commnunity down here and I don't see what the difference would be at hom. Just need to have at legislation, if folk here can do community schemes I'm sure that we can.

I do prefer living in the country. Peace and quite and just getting on wi things.

This makes me wonder about ever going on the list when we move back up (well me moving back up, Mr TA & the cat first time lol). I'm moving back up at the end of the year and then he is coming up following year. Now everyone that I've told that we're moving at home has said get your names on the council/Hjaltland list. It's the one that everyone has said. We hadn't thought about it at all. The only reason that I might and just might is that I need to use a wheelchair when health isn't great. We'll be biding wi Mam and Dad, who incidently are in a council house, until we find somewhere. I agree with the BT building that should be utilised better if there is hardly anyone in it and housing would be perfect. Windybrae's good grief no heard about that in ages....
