  1. Wasn't sure where to put this. More here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8044826.stm
  2. I like the sound of that! Will see what I can do.
  3. Peronsally I'm a bit suspicious about all this. Ok yes, it's quiter in Winter but this is supposed to be a lifeline service. My main worry is if an emergency happened and needed to get to the mainland quick as MJ said only option then would be FlyBe. I know that it is quieter in winter but how many trips do they actually only have 8 people on board? I've asked my family & friends about this and they said although it wasn't packed it wasn't a ghost ship when they've travelled in the winter months.
  4. I do have to say we went there just after 2pm so it wasn't too busy. I'll have to go when it's busier and see if everything is as good.
  5. Went to Osla's two weeks ago. Really enjoyed the food. Didn't have to wait too long for it. Tasted great (I had lasagne). I'll have to go there again. Canna believe that I hadna been afore.
  6. ^^^ I think the major problem over here is that our Government always seem to manage to muck things up big style. I think if people percieved them as more trustworthy there wouldn't be as much of a problem. Especially given that apparently (and I bet I can't find the news item now was on the BBC last year sometime) some branches of Government (excluding the electoral register) sell information for data mining.
  7. I think that's Baabies Croft: http://www.baabiescroftgunnista.co.uk/
  8. I'm equally fond of both. We have a cat at the moment but would love a dog although not fair to have a dog at the moment. I've have both in my life and have had some bad experiences of both but far more good ones .
  9. Editing. Going through camera and putting and editing on comp.
  10. Seems like that may be the case: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4245814.Passengers_may_need_passport_to_get_to_Isle_of_Wight/ I've just realised I need to update my passport in 2 years time. http://www.ips.gov.uk/passport/fees.asp
  11. Just wondering who the best person to go to go to get ear repierced. It's the top one on my lobe, rest are fine just that one seems to have grown over or something.
  12. I was at the Bressay Community Council meeting two months ago and they had the representatives from Scottish Water there about piping the water fae Lerrick to Bressa. They admitted that there are "problems with the quality of water in Lerwick and are working on it". They also admitted that in order to make sure that they water is "upto standard" the longer the pipes the more chlorine and ammonia they have to put in. One counteracts the other.
  13. Not in the slightest bit bothered. I was talking to a friend that had been doing research and there is only a 5% mortality rate. Given that it is in Mexico and it likely (as with all diseases of this type) that the people that have died of it are most likely in the infancy/elderly/medically vulnerable category. The people who are over here that have it AFAIA only have mild symptoms and are being quarrantined. I'm just watching the media completely overreact on this one as with SARS & Avian Flu.
  14. Pandemonium. Getting ready for bro's birthday party tomorrow.
  15. Ooh that sounds lovely. I like the painkiller aspect!
  16. Listening to music and getting up loud for a while. If it's nice outside reading/knitting for a bit or just chilling watching a fluff packed DVD so that you don 't have to think.
  17. Brilliant news! Aired. Mr TA and I went for a lovely long walk(well wheel in my case lol).
