Does anyone find a particular insurance company gives competitive quotes for Shetland? I have tried two comparison sites which give hugely varying prices. Currently with Direct Line who were best last year. i do have a 23 year old on my insurance which is pushing up my cost.

South Mainland Archery meet at Sandwick School 10.00 to 12.00 on Sundays. Shetland Archery Club meet in Lerwick, Gilbertson park games hall I believe 7 to 9 pm on Tuesdays. both have Facebook pages

Brexit has had its day. The UK now seems to be rebuilding connections with the EU. Energy security and defence means we must work together. Even if the EU fails we will always have to work with our neighbours. The country is now desperate for foreign labour and it will only get worse as our population ages.

Did you see the story that someone thinks the Space Centre is scaring people from staying in Unst or Shetland. Thinks that it will make us a target for Putin. (Along with the oil terminal and military software around the place, and the fact we’re strategically placed at the gateway to the North Atlantic. Does anyone know if this has happened, or is it the cost of heating houses?

Brexit was probably thought up by the ERG as a quick buck maker. Consequences for the hoi polloi are of no consequence to them. Sad thing is how many voters fell for the story that it was some sort of Independence Day.
