    LPA already own the land and already have the tunnel plans they got from the consultants they employed to provide an alternative for the SIC Bressay bridge (which was possibly to be named the Sandy Cluness Harbour Bridge). http://www.shetlandtimes.co.uk/2008/10/31/bressay-tunnel-in-three-years-say-engineers-behind-project The tunnel approaches and entrances were to be cut through Gremista and Heogan. I wonder, does the LPA also own the land on the Bressay side, or is that in other private ownership

    Sorry, but I am talking Tunnel here only. I still would like to know who owns the Land, that would need to be purchased in the event that a Tunnel were to become a reality.

    Okay, it's reared its head again and with just a few months until the Local Elections.. Question 1 - Who owns the land (on each Side) that will be required and crucial for the Tunnel approaches. Question 2 - When was the land acquired... IMHO the only place for a Tunnel, is exactly where the Ferry runs at present. Any other position would be an uneconomic disaster....

    I thought it was a common known fact, that in the earliest years of invasion by the Vikings, the women were killed and the men raped. It was only after about another 50 years or so, that this was changed around, so to speak. Perhaps Brian could confirm
