Da reason dir hasnt been a huge media outrage is due to the fact the contestants on shipwreaked are normal peaple no celebs. All the media wanted to do was take a well known and well liked celeb and start a hate campaign. lets face it thats all the media do to any celeb. they never really base the story on fact they would rather make something up so the story sounds better. The media is so over rated. Journalist are nothing better than vilage gossips but the difference being they are much worse and they get paid to destroy lives.

It was actually picked up after only 200 complaints ( http://media.guardian.co.uk/site/story/0,,1991359,00.html ) so it was no doubt due to the huge media interest that prompted people to watch the show and complain.

Its due to the media things have gone this far. I now have no faith in any media story as this whole thing has shown that media will do and say anything to get a story wheather its fact or not.

Im jst making the point that some people might see this as a racist comment due to jades mixed race and her being refered to being a 'mix' o animals rather that what she actually is. for examlpe is all mixed race people a mix of species or only jade?

I dout this will end jade's career after all she has done nothing more that have a few heated arguments with a fellow housemate. i for one support jade. This whole thing is jst so stupid. It has gotten to this stage due to the people out there looking for any reason to shout racism they seem to be ignoring the FACTS. just about 10 minutes ago a video was played on sky news of Shilpa in the diary room today. in this video Shilpa clearly states that this is no racial motavation behind it. If the one person at the centre of this whole thing honeslty believes ( as she does) that its no racially motavated than why does everyone else. its time everyone jst stopped being so pathetic about this especially the people in power ie Tony Blair etc i would also like to point oot that while he is debating over a stupid heated argument in a big brother house a show he probably dont even watche, there are hundredes of lives being lost every week in a war he is doing nothing to stop. that should be his main concern not what goes on inside a reality tv show.

If she really felt she was being racialy abused she would make a point of makin a serious complaint to big brother. Has she done this? NO.

Just finished watching the C4 statement on the whole issue. The one thing that everyone seems to be forgeting is that Shilpa herself DOES NOT feel like she is being attacked due to race, she herself has said its a clash of class. so why is this still an issue? Everyone who is still shouting out that its racism should really have a good look at them selves. Maybe its them that has problems with race?

I cant believe i am reading some of the replys here. What we are watchng on this show is not rasicm its far from it. What everyone seems to be forgeting is that this women is an ACTRESS there for she is good at putting on a show. i would like to remind people about big brother last year. Can you all remember Glyn? the by from Wales. Now, when other house mates made fun of his accent and of wales did anyone even mention the word rasicm? NO. so why do it now? its just the same thing the only diferance being that the so called 'victim' here is a celebrity. Why should it be ok to make fun of a non celeb and but not a celeb? i totaly agree with jade i too feel that Shilpa is a fake she shows no real emotion. Her real problem is that she is used to havin everything done for her and having a big entourage of people who jump every time she clickes her fingers she thinks she is better than everyone else. I think she made a mistake by doing this show, it is not in her culture and it was always going to cause problems as the culture and class difference was just to big and she would have know that before she went in to the house. It is after all jst a game and she knew this when she signed up.
