https://myshetland.co.uk/put-upon/ Cats and dogs. Want, want, want.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/in-need-of-cheering-up/ Moved the horses so we could bury Storm. And then I needed cheering up so my two rescue sheep found me and smiled. Job done.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/before-the-snow-went/ Carrots for the sheep, who decided that they loved them. The snow has finally melted so now flooding!
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/wrong-side-of-burn/ Trying to call the Icelandic horses home for their breakfast.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/life-goes-on-3/ Feeling very meh about things but life goes on and I still need to look after everyone despite what happened.
-
myshetland.co.uk/coping-with-snow/ We still have snow here in Shetland and I, for one, am heartily sick of it. Pretty at times but very hard work.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/r-i-p-storm/ Storm died last night. I will miss him hugely. I tried my best, sometimes it's not enough. Rest in Peace, Storm.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/dont-know-what-to-do-next/ I don't know what to do about Storm, my Shetland pony with laminitis. He's very depressed and not eating now. Very worried.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/hopefully-getting-on-now/ Lovely to see my new sheep finally getting along with my established (read spoilt brats) flock.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/breakfast-bucket-duty/ I got to feed the Icelandic horses this morning. All fat, all happy and all eating to stay warm in the Shetland hail.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/its-tough-out-there/ Icelandic horses - still outside, refusing to come in. Ancient Shetland pony mares - came in early as it all got a bit much. Younger Shetland ponies - outside complaining (they're fat) but have food and shelter. Ill Shetland ponies - indoors complaining (they want nicer food - no chance, slimming diet)
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/what-to-do-3/ Weather deteriorating. Do I get all the equines inside or let them get on with it? What to do? I just don't know. (Decided the sick and ancient Shetlands come in - everyone else outside)
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/close-to-home/ Moved all the Icelandic horses closer to home as there is a storm on its way. Not looking forwards to this one bit.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/albies-lucky-day/ Founder is a good name for this grotty disease.
-
myshetland.co.uk/vaccinations/ I missed my vaccination appointment so had to go to town to get my Covid and Flu shots.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/my-life-in-photos/ Today in pics. Not very exciting, but I honestly do not want that. Just me and my little life with my animals.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/these-two/ When in doubt, rescue an animal. There is no better feeling, especially when they are grateful (unlike some who will remain nameless, aka Lambie, Bert, Ster, etc)
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/container-life/ The Shetland ponies go in and out of the containers all the time. They seem much happier outside, too. All except for Fivla who would like to go back to having 3 hourly buckets of food brought to her.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/our-thing/ My very own maneki-neko (招き猫), aka Monster. He does the waving thing too but mostly with claws for attention.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/outside-4/ Little Shetland ponies outside now after a very long haul in the shed. Not better completely but improving very slowly. Fresh air is better for them too.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/a-day-of-wickedness/ I shouldn't have got up this morning. Every Shetland pony I have is wicked.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/a-good-friend/ I lacked focus and a plan so a good friend came and told me what to do. I needed that. I was beginning to doubt myself.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/over-the-wall-2/ Every day I walk over the hill to give my old Icelandic horses their carrots to check all is well.
-
https://myshetland.co.uk/some-move-out/ The little boys (aka the Shetland ponies) went outside as they are looking much better so that's 3 down and 5 to go.

https://myshetland.co.uk/shetland-craft-fair-2025/ Every year Shetland has the most incredible Christmas Craft Fair. For such a small place, there is a huge amount of homegrown talent.
