  1. Seems to be a Mac/Java problem then. Same effect on all four browsers and all have latest MacJava update,which is not the same as the PC one.
  2. Is anyone still able to use the BT ADSL and FTTC test? This has been unavailable since 14th April on my Macs. Beta test works. Broadband usage meter has been unavailable since 25th May. BT call centre can offer no explanations. Is it just me?

  4. ^ ^ ^ Wearing any disguise===dratsy knows everything.
  5. Unst is almost dead. The community council would welcome an undertakers conference.
  6. Why all this bother of wether to tow or transport an Isles car? The sensible seller offers it a few weeks before the MOT runs out so that it can legally be driven to the new owner. Easy. Being only 78 I hardly qualify as as an 80 year old as I 'drittle' to the shops in my Audi TT 3.2. This is fully comp and MOT until next February. It will then be 7 years old so I am seriously thinking of registering it as an Isles car to save money. Motoring on Unst is far too expensive.
  7. Why are you people so jealous? Just because you have to MOT your vehicle you want to make it compulsory for everyone. If MOT's are to become compulsory on each island then testing stations should become compulsory there too. You would very soon rebel if every vehicle in Shetland had to visit a testing station in Unst. I would use a similar argument re. unaccompanied L-drivers. Why should a person who lives on an island where 90% of the road miles are single track with passing places,no pedestrian or level crossings,no traffic lights,no dual carriageways have to go down to the mainland to be formally taught about these things and be tested in a totally unfamiliar road system? How many of you,having grown up and passed your test in Shetland,been absolutely terrified when going to drive in Scotland? In more than 40 years driving in Unst I have never heard of an unaccompanied driver have a serious accident,except through drink,whilst I saw a most experienced,profesional driver knock a young man from his motorcycle up here. Live and let live.
  8. ^ ^ ^ You must hate driving in Shetland.
  9. And you should resign as Moderator if you continue your witch hunt against JW.
  10. £1-53.9 unleaded in Baltasound.
  11. As UK law used to be. Innocent until proven guilty. It is up to the authority to record you watching live TV.
  12. ^ ^ ^ bobdahogshagger can be personal whilst I can't. Nuff said.
