  1. We have also sent another e-mail to this O2 e-mail address earlier this week and low and behold nothing now. And in responce to the cost of repair, what is the point in supplying a service to customers, but knowing there will not be enough return in money from the service you supply to repair it along with making a profit, so why supply it in the first place????? Now 5 weeks with no good O2 signal in Quarff. If this was Lerwick would it still take 5 weeks to fix and have it back to the normal level that was there before????
  2. Thank you for this information. E-mail sent from the top of my 100 foot mast, lol
  3. Thing is I can't understand is that O2 including TTMobile who deals with the phone contract for my employer (who are in contact with O2) have said that there is a fault and it is being fixed. They said a temp fix was done. When I do a temp fix then I get it working enough until new part is fitted, which will last longer. This temp fix done nothing, if any fix was really done or is a story just to keep me quiet. Even had a tech man from O2 phone us and said yes there is a known fault and sorry for the loss of signal. Still taking a bit long to get it sorted.
  4. Why is there no signal here in quarff when there was one before?
  5. By the sounds of it Mr Hairyman you work for the companies in question. Maybe you should come and see for yourself what I am talking about and see what it feels like to have no mobile signal for 1 month when your business requires it, instead of folk phoning your private landline when your 11 year old daugther answers it after school before you. Not very business like. Folk find your number in the shetland directory or know who to call via others. My landline is my private life, my mobile number is my business and it is costing me lost business. I had a working O2 signal for years that gave me a business, but is now affecting my family and private life to frustration. I don't give a @#$# about how long it takes to fix, it should have been fixed by now.
  6. I undersand that Vodafone and O2 masts are in different locations, however O2 has been non existant here for a month. I can see both masts from where I am and get nothing. Get in my van and travel for 1 minute to the fladdabister straight and get a signal that we use to have. Vodafone signal was poor. It was there now it comes and goes from 3 too no signal within 30 seconds. And that depends where you stand now. Use to get constant signal from Vodafone now its very poor. Coverage predictor online shows we should have min of 3 bars. Nothing wrong with my phones, its just very, very poor coverage now. Maybe somebody from O2 could come here so they can see for themselves. Quarff is now a complete dead area for signal. Signal was never great in certain areas here anyway but it worked before, it has just got worse. Can't use a signal booster as there is no signal to boost.
  7. Still no signal (use to have steady 3 bars) here in Quarff. Has now been exactly 1 month with nothing. Had many phone calls over the past 2 weeks from O2 saying there was a problem, an engineer is up here and they had done a temp fix (but it don't work) and they are waiting on parts. This was the story 2 weeks ago and the same one they still use. Have given up with them. If this was the UK mainland it be fixed much quicker, they have had long enough. Just feel like O2 not bothered about it. I say O2 but Vodafone signal is the same
  8. Just for anybodys information if you are having problems with O2 then use the following e-mail as it does actualy get somebody to sit up and listen: complaintreviewservice@o2.com O2 call this the high level complaint e-mail if not getting anywhere with call centre.
  9. Use to have Vodafone until December. Signal was always 3 bar atleast, never had major problems at south end of Quarff until now. I guess you are picking signal up from Scalloway mast or something near there. Funny thing is O2 tried to phone us on our mobiles to tell us there was a problem. Even after giving them landline number as we had no signal. They just never read e-mails, or even listen to you when speaking to them. They ask same questions over and over again then say there is no problem. They must of thought I was wanting to phone them at 25p a minute from my landline number just for somebody to speak to as I must be lonely without my mobile, lol
  10. We have just had a return phone call from O2 (shock horror). They are saying an engineer has been up here since the 10th of Feb and that the antenna was damaged with the wind. They can't say how long this will take. Another story to add to the rest, do we believe it or not? lol
  11. Since 4th of Feb there has been no O2 mobile service in Quarff. Is anybody having same problem with their O2 or Vodafone in Quarff. Fed up dealing with O2 customer support as just getting nowhere just when you think you are. 6 different phones all O2 with no service. Had 3 bar service before the 4th. I tried a Vodafone sim card and it is the same. Has the wind damaged something? or is it just the same thing as the broadband, being told nothing is wrong when something is? O2 say signal is ok, but it is not, they believe a computer more than a human. Going bald quickly with frustration at O2. (***Mod Edit - Merged with existing thread***)
  12. O2 network worked fine until Friday the 4th then nothing. Vodafone not even working. O2 now say there is a problem and looking at it, so don't hold my breath for it being fixed quickly.
  13. phone is supplied by my employer, can't change network. Tried a vodafone sim card I have and no service.
  14. We live in quarff and have had no signal since friday the 4th. We have contacted O2 4 times by landline number, very costly. They have told us it be fixed by Sunday then it was within a few days and now they can't say when it be fixed. I emailed them and was told to look at the online coverage predictor as it says signal for the ZE2 area is good. Fed up with O2 but cannot change as need phone for business calls. What can you do, is anyone in quarff having same problem. 6 phones in our house that have no signal. Signal before was 3 bars.
