  1. ^^ Ghostrider, I understand that classroom assisstants are there for one to one help with children with special needs or who need additional help. I suppose this is essential if they are to integrated into the schools like Dunrossness ?

  7. AN URGENT safety report has been ordered into Lerwick’s brand new South Road roundabout after reports that pedestrians are using its centre as a pavement. Councillors were horrified yesterday (Tuesday) after member Betty Fullerton said she had seen a mother with two children in the middle of the roundabout. She told a meeting of the council's infrastructure committee that people seem to be using a raised two metre wide, red coloured strip around the heightened centre of the roundabout as a pedestrian thoroughfare. "They are using it as a pavement, because it looks like a pavement," she said. I canna say ive ever seen anybody in da red kerbed bit. Is this carry on no a over reaction. Seein a fool with her bairns using it as a pavement is hardly reason to write a safety report. Have any of you seen folk walking around the red bit ? There are loads of roundabouts the same as this one down South.
  8. I think its statments like these that does your arguments no favours. Its simply no true, db. Why isn't it true..?? Expand on your post please. What other clubs are you spaeking about ? There are round 60 that play in the Scotish leagues. I wid say Celtic are second worst. You say most are worse than or equal to Celtic, go on name the 30 odd. ok let;s make it easier just name 10. Tak yer time.

  10. ...and at a local petrol station there is a sign in the window which reads........ ''Do not park before the windows''
  11. Just saw this on bbc sport. There will be a minute's applause ahead of Remembrance Sunday at Celtic Park. All the other grounds will mark the occasion with silence. Any idea why its diffrent at Celtic?
  12. That is true but they help to save a lots of money for the NHS.
  13. How can it be racist when the people excluded are of the same race as the people included ? It's maybe Yokelist....but certainly not racist. The Parish Cup certainly seems to interest more people than the Toonie League though so, I would say its more importent.
  14. It is my understanding that because of the strike, Payroll won't get salaries into accounts until 1st October. I understand that the Bank of Scotland deduct direct debits and standing orders before adding any credits to accounts. So beware if your account is low and you have a pile of debits coming off on the first of the month. Not sure about other banks policies.
  15. Sam: Would you punish me for some thing i didn't do? Teacher: no, of course not. Sam: good, because i didn't do my homework
  16. ROFL... Quality frankie. I see now why Nakamura n Malony fall over in the penalty box without being touched. Plenty practsing at training
  17. Who cares ??? As Sassermaet says above, as long as it tastes ok.
  18. IMHO I was glad to see a new 'breed' of Councillor being elected but now I'm having my doubts if they are up to the job. (Except Allan Wishart) It's interesting to compare Allan Wishart's reaction to losing the vote to that of Mark Robinson. Allan Wishart has been humble in defeat re Mareel and humble in victory re Bressay bridge. Sounds like Cllr Robinson is used to getting his own way.
  19. ^^ This must be a wind up. Different vans to carry big stuff and small stuff. I don't think so.

    UEFA Cup Final

Manchester City Council has praised the vast majority of the Rangers support who travelled for the clash with Zenit St Petersburg. "It must be noted that this involved a number of hundreds of Rangers fans with 99%-plus having no involvement whatsoever," the report claims.
