    'Healthy' sugar-free oat flapjacks {can be Vegan, Gluten free}

    100g butter / Vegan sunflower marg / Stork… works fine with 50g and 2 bananas
    1 or 2 ripe bananas mashed
    200g porridge oats / gluten free porridge oats
    50g chopped walnuts / mixed nuts / no nuts
    30g pumpkin seeds {optional}
    30g sunflower seeds {optional}
    30g desiccated coconut {optional}
    100g or less chopped dates / any dried fruit- pineapple and papaya, raisins, currants, figs, apricots, cherries, plumped dried strawberries are nice, cranberries… or no fruit at all.
    Or cacao nibs, or chocolate chips
    {1 or 2 grated carrots -optional}

    Optional-
    add 1-3 Tblsp honey to the melted marg
    Add 1 tsp vanilla essence

    Preheat oven to 175C / 170 Fan
    Grease a 20cm square baking tin

    Melt the butter in a pan- add mashed banana {honey, essence}

    Mix all the dry ingredients, add the melted butter, mix well- a porridge spurtle makes the best job of it!
    {Add a little almond milk if too dry?}

    Spread evenly in the tin, press down firmly - wee silicon spatula is the best.
    You can sprinkle more coconut / seeds on top & press down well,

    Bake for 15-25 mins until golden on top and starts browning on the edges and coming away from the sides.

    Cool in the tin a bit.
    Tip out in one piece onto a wire rack, cut into squares on a chopping board.

    He's some boy and has many tales to tell without being pretensions about it. The range of stuff he plays is all over the place - a good thing in my book as you'll hear things you'd never normally encounter.

    Been pleasantly surprised by Mr Pop's Radio 6 "Iggy Confidential" these last few evenings. Was sceptical at first, but he plays a good variety of decent music. Hearing lots I'd not normally encounter. Worth a listen: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03yblbx/episodes/player

    @Davie P, I hope you don't mind but we added a poll to your post. We used the same wording as the 2014 referendum and added an undecided option too.

    Yes, folk should keep an eye on da wye VE is byggit now, but it canna be stopped. Looking ahead tae Mossy Hill, and the Yell eens is what may be still worth fighting. Then, if they canna be stopped, what will be the community benefit from them?

    Hello everyone,

    a survey site has been launched to gather the views of people in Shetland on developing opportunities for education, training and research. If you are:
    an employer or business owner, parent interested in your child's opportunities post-school, an adult considering learning or new skills, a former student of the colleges, then we'd like you to answer one of our surveys. If you are a young person at college or considering college soon, we will be creating other opportunities for you to have your say, and there will be community events too. But the quickest and easiest way for you to share your views is by visiting this website.

    Thanks for looking, we really appreciate your time and support.
