^ We know this. I said "can do what you like", that doesn't mean everyone "will do what they like". Intelligent and sensible people, of which I'm sure crofter is one, will only attempt such works as they know they have adequate skills and knowledge to perform competently. No amount of "rules" will save idiots from themselves, as they tend to be deluded as to their own abilities and don't believe the rules apply to them anyway.

A photo from the good old days when the Thule would have been a sea of tartan bunnets.

Hat's off to Trout for the number of hours he's spent up to his fishy oxters in code and databases of late. He's a real troo(t)per!

The best advice we can offer to folk about the new functionality is to have a good (t)root around and get used to all the new bits n pieces while we get things in order.

Thanks for your patience and we hope you enjoy the overhaul.

peeriebryan got a reaction from as in Gollywogs - is this guy for real?.
I met the man in question and he is far from an 'ignorant idiot'. I think he makes his point very succinctly. Indeed, I find this statement from the blog post to be difficult to disagree with: "The gollywog is a product and symbol of a time when white people believed (really believed) they were superior and black people inferior.  Is it racist to know this fact and still sell this doll"

tatties, herbs, veg, fruit, etc etc.

We are about to begin a 5 week project with a group of clients, learning how to grow your own fruit and veg; make simple recipes with them; and collating a book of recipes, hints and tips.

If you have anything you would like to donate please email: movingon@shetland.org - all donations will be very greatly received!

    Many thanks for your time

Again thank you for your patience in the conversion of the original Shetlink software to the new setup.

Unfortunately, the largest and most unforeseen issue arose around the PM system. Again there has been some teething problems and the system has been completely purged rather than allow it to go as it stood.

What does this mean? Any new PM's sent today have also unfortunately been deleted.

The bonus; rather a trite one, is the database isn't clogged to the hilt but, yes not ideal in circumstances where Shetlink users have been communicating on items in the classifieds section.

Anyhow. Shetlink trusts this can be overseen for the new setup and interesting new features available.

    Hope you enjoy.
