  1. County Shield semi-final: Thistle 1-1 Delting aet Delting won 4-2 on penalties. Whitedale v Delting final on Saturday
  2. Frigg are an excellent fiddle group. They are a mixture of Finns and Norwegians so I think it qualifies as Norwegian music. http://youtube.com/watch?v=7a1tPP38bJY http://www.myspace.com/friggtheband As it says on their website: 'Frigg is a multitalented Finnish-Norwegian seven who produces fresh Scandinavian folk fiddling accompanied by fretted instruments, upright bass and endless energy. The style they represent is a mixture of Kaustinen (Finland) and Nord-Trondelag (Norway) -traditions flavoured with a taste of americana and irish folk music.'
  3. I think it is just a definition of Chuck Norris
  4. - Fill the 5 gallon container - Empty into the 3 gallon container until it's full - This leaves 2 gallons in the 5 gallon container - Empty the 3 gallon container and pour the remaining 2 gallons from the 5 gallon container into the 3 gallon conatiner (still with me!) -Fill the 5 gallon container again. By filling the remaining gallon into the 3 gallon container, exactly 4 gallons will be left in the 5 gallon container.
  5. No sure about yun 'had had' nonsense. No even going to think about it. Anyway here's another one for you all to ponder. 'What is greater than God, More evil than the devil, The poor have it, The rich don't need it, And if you eat it, you'll die?' If you have heard it before please don't post the answer straight away. It left me stumped for ages when I first heard it.
  6. Unfortunately Hacksaw your spelling is wrong. It is actually spelt 'queuing' which therefore does only have 4 consecutive vowels. Sorry for being an ass.
  7. Thistle beat Ness 4-1 tonight in the Madrid Cup. Scott Morrison got a couple of penalties and Craig Gerty got the other two. Craig Leslie free kick tor Ness. Also heard a rumour Yell were on for an upset against Spurs. 2-1 up at one stage apparently.
  8. Thistle played well enough last night but I wouldn't read too much into these pre-season games. Was only a 70 minute game and Thistle were holding out a bit towards the end of the game. Some decent performances from the younger guys however. I fully expect Whalsay to be Deltings only realistic challengers for the league but Thistle are indeed not a team to be underestimated. They should be capable of getting results against the majority of the teams in the league and if the "big two" get a bit complacent on the night then a minor shock may be on the cards. Roll on the 20th April.
  9. Saw the film when I was over in Canada recently. Thought it was very good. Has a style quite similar to Sin City which is maybe not surprising given they are both based on Frank Miller novels. Fully recommended. Excellent action scenes.
  10. My new favourite song. Enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N7l2aXiKMI&mode=related&search=
  11. You Bet was a classic. Perhaps it was becasue I was only about 10 when it was on which endeared it to me. Where else would you be able to witness somebody try and make a cup of tea with a JCB or identify motorbikes just from the sound of their engines revving for a second. High class TV!

  13. The Mule. Or possibly Rab Muffin the notorious Delt.
  14. If that is the case Mr Twerto then you can come and join me on my own personal xmas do on the 21st. Will that keep you happy?
  15. Sorry Frankie, I won't do it again. But really he was kinda rubbish. The game did pass him by a bit.
  16. Don't know what game you were watching but Ferguson was entirely anonymous in my opinion. Fletcher and Hartley were far better on the day.
  17. Quote from the Celtic v Rangers report in the Guardian today: "... Lacking in movement too, but this time in a cultural sense, were the travelling support at Parkhead who, in needless attempts at off-field defiance, indulged in ancient religious-related verse for virtually the entire 90 minutes. Uefa may have successfully excised The Billy Boys from the Ibrox songbook, but much work is still required to rid Rangers of their sectarian baggage. The Celtic following were far from innocent, too, with chants that Le Guen is an "Orange bar steward", as inaccurate as they are archaic. Lennon was also fortunate to escape action after he ran the risk of inciting the Rangers fans by cupping his hand to his ear. Thankfully, at least the football retains an element of unpredictability from time to time; something Le Guen may be counting on in the coming weeks." Seems like this problem is far from over despite UEFA's best attempts. Good win for the Bhoys though
  18. Site works fine enough. Prices a lot better than before. I had a quote of £105 for a return flight to Edinburgh. You must have just booked too near to your departure date.
