  1. I can't believe people are seriously considering this. The harassment i received over my Dolphin Pool was thoroughly humiliating. Yet i stand proud, in the belief that soon my pool will become a reality. Unlike this self-governing hogwash by some 'Sooth Moother', who has the audacity to come up to the Shetlands and tell us how to arrange our political affairs!
  2. That could possibly work in. I'll make a note of that in the business plan. We do need bakers. Would you by any chance know how to make a simple sponge cake with a iced dolphin on top? The burgers can come at a later date. I have tried this before but find that Flipper when frozen in ice doesn't go well with sponge cake, gets all soggy... I'm sorry madam but i don't think you would be suitable for the position. Thank you for your interest, if we need a baker in the future i'll be sure to let you know. Kind Regards George Kippets (Professional Dolphin Trainer) Shetland Dolphin Pool Ltd. gkippets@gmail.com

  4. [*** Thread moved to appropriate section***] Hey Folks. I have been in a meeting with the Shetland Development Trust and they did seem quite keen on the Dolphin Pool to go ahead. We are thinking to be based in Unst. A business plan is being worked on as we speak. So more information still to come. If there is anybody out there who is keen to be involved please do get in touch. gkippets@gmail.com EM, i think you would make a great trainer, and employee. If that doesn't work out i'm sure we could get you on Maintenance or even working in the cafe or gift shop.
  5. I appreciate the excitement from you all towards the Shetland Dolphin Pool. I think we do have a winner.
  6. You are entitled to your opinion. Back to the whole 'The Shetlands' conversation. If it will keep everyone happy i will now refer to it as the Shetland Islands.
  7. Much appreciated Ichorus. I am legit, not here to start trouble or anything just show my opinion and dream
  8. I'm not from Lancashire? West London my home. I see the predicament WE may face as a community when this happens. There will be a cafe in the building where we will serve some delights e.g. dolphin shaped lolly pops, cakes, soft drinks and tea / coffee... i'm hoping the icelandic or nordic whale eaters will like it, think of it as a nice change. When living in Florida, living the american dream was encouraged upon people, it was great to have people encourage you to go forth and achieve your dreams. I'm a pretty successful investor and have had some financial luck in the past so i don't think the money should be a problem for know.
  9. Being from south, i don't mean to be rude and i'm sorry but i couldn't really understand that comment, do you mind re-typing that.
  10. Why is it that whenever anyone says they do not want to cause a fuss, they either (a) have just caused one, or ( are about to do so. It is like the expression "with all respect..." which is only ever used just before something disrespectful is said. Fine. Just go ahead. In the same way I'm sure a number of people will see no problem in calling you a troll, or worse. Like i said i don't want to cause a fuss. But its my own personal opinion, is there such a crime in this world in having an opinion? But i do believe however that a Troll is Norwegian, i like to think of myself as more of a Trow (i believe thats how they say it in the Shetlands)
  11. Many thanks Bryan. I have heard from many people you are the man to speak to about the shetland music scene.
  12. Errr, here's lesson 1 for people who've moved to Shetland. http://www.shetlink.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=663&highlight=shetlands Dolphinarium in Shetland - good luck, you'll need it. I don't want to cause a fuss or anything by all means. But i really don't see the problem in calling it the Shetlands. Personally i feel it gives it a bit of character. http://www.wildlifeextra.com/go/uk/shetlands/#cr
  13. I did see that, its the circle of life my friend. These things happen. A dolphin i worked with at Sea World, passed away 4 years ago, his name was Fullgar. We just have to accept this and move on.
  14. Most of you who may not know me, i am a Fully Qualified Professional Dolphin Trainer. I worked in Florida for a few years and have recently moved to the Shetlands with my wife who is Orcadian. I am looking into starting my own business. Shetland Dolphin Pool Ltd. My aim is to have a small aquarium where tourists and of course you Shetlinkians can come and see the dolphins and possibly some other aquatic beings. Personally, i believe we can make the Shetlands a better place, through dolphins. Any individuals who would care to be a part of this life changing experience please get in touch. gkippets@gmail.com Thanks George K
  15. For the past few days i've been reading up on Mareel. I think its just what the Shetlands needs. The Shetlands is full of musical talent, there is so much to offer! We have to start thinking about whats best for our children, because our children are the future. Who is going to entertain us with music when i'm old and grey...our children. Who is going to be there to wipe me clean when i'm in a home...our children. Who is going to feed me when my hands get bit off by a dolphin...our children. Who is going to dry me when i'm dripping...our children. Who is going to star in movies when we fancy watching one...our children.
