  1. No but I have heard of Auld Rasmie Meaning an awkward person traawirt yes , usually accompanied by bar steward
  2. heard that too , but prefer E45 , used vaseline hand cream n that Norwegian formula stuff for dry hands many a time too
  3. I doot the smuggling here o braandy n baccy was to cheat da revenues redder as prohabition ? maybe no. An is da "heroism" no bestowed on da dealers noo redder as in da future ? , just towts
  4. Given that theres 3 profitable means of entry , by boat where theres plenty taking a "bung" or in the car boot , sumburgh less likely , and lets not forget Scatsta, then theres ample opportunity to squeeze the supply network. If its harder to get in the knock on effect is theres less to get , hence less supply to feed on. Condoning its supply usage and culture is to condone and support the muggings robbery theft and deciept that goes with it , count me out of that from the start Right, let's see what this approach would really mean... Strip search everyone who comes in through Sumburgh, Scatsta, Tingwall, off a boat in Lerwick, Scalloway, Cullivoe, Baltasound, Hamnavoe, Symbister, that pier where the Altaire docks, everyone who takes a small boat out of any marina in shetland (you don't know what nefarious characters they might be meeting out of sight of land), everyone who goes out in a boat from any private mooring, anywhere or who launches from any beach, anywhere. Oh yeah, and then you'd have to search the tanker crews at Sullom, and the pilot and tug boat operators. Then you'd have to open every letter or parcel passing through the Post Office, every container landed in Lerwick or Scalloway, you'd have to dismantle every electrical or electronic device, or anything else which might have drugs hidden in it, regardless of whether or not it was meant to come apart, you'd have to strip down to individual components every car, truck, tractor, digger or other piece of plant being landed on the island, you'd have to rip open every bag of salmon or animal feed, fertiliser, sand, seed, cement and sift through every other piece of bulk product being transported up here. In addition, you'd have to mount a permanent 24hr watch on every beach, cove, geo, voe, and cliff in the islands to prevent outsiders from sneaking in with cargo. And after all that, you could still grow the stuff in any suitably equipped greenhouse on the islands. And I am sure there are a dozen or more points of possible entry into these islands that I haven't covered. Now, mhutch, are you willing to put up with what I've outlined above (never mind paying for it). northlink ferries wasnt just too hard to interprate , being 2 ferrys as opposed to every boat in Shetland. Other ferry terminals like Stranraer , Troon , Larne and Belfast have random car searches which wont turn over that many but it will all help. I know my big stick to the junkies approach in here is not going down well but am awfully sorry to say it goes down a treat out of here , so i shall leave you to your needles n debotchery until bobdahog needs a bit of support xx
  5. Chance i would be willing to take old bean , a good incentive for the public to become a bit more pro-active in cleaning up its standards

  7. if you spent less time reading foreign slang dictionarys and more time reading the thread then you might see am totally in favour of removing the supply i.e. no heroin , no junkies
  8. i would have a fair idea, its my first initial and half my surname, unless you can slander it in some way? be my guest not slander just the word is also slang for a person who is proud of his penis size and likes to be public about it. a slight change of your user name maybe wise. its hardly weather to be taking him out , luckily hes attatched so you n your junkie buddys couldnt steal him so easy
  9. banjo actually , cheap personal attacks are a shoddy means of defence, as is searching "tepid excuses for junkies" on google
  10. i would have a fair idea, its my first initial and half my surname, unless you can slander it in some way? be my guest
  11. The dunces/witches hat , is it to be rainbow colours too ?
  12. I had it explained to me by the tradesman who did it years ago , thats the colour it is naturally. Apparently its a time tested and traditional hard wearing job but i will ask in greater depth about it next time i see him
  13. So, you are not adding to the debate, just stagnating it. Bit of your own beligerant stubborness to bend will do you no harm
  14. Its a listed building you see and all has to be done to original spec , done right it will last us all out. Same carry on wi Al Fayeds castle , its pink too bless him
  15. somebody more knowledgeable will give you a long winded asnswer but its a very old method of mixing lime plaster that doesnt have modern additives and takes a good few years to sort itself out , pretty specialist stuff doin the real old ways , well over my head
  16. thats using the logic of the pro drugs faction , leave a couple o 9 bars n a gallon of yun heroin substitute on the doorstep at night for any poor soul that runs oot
  17. It would fill faster if i didnt use so much of it , tv , rugs , etc. Some of the Firth skips are house clearances. I sincerely wish Bobbie the best of luck and the greatest of support with the new Mossbank charity shop , hopefully ease the skip filling issues
  18. Sorry no , objectively looking at this line of thought its simply changing the law to cover up a statistic. The most of europe has a better way of thinking. This country is never happy unless theres ample qibbling and quarreling , mainly over money and greed , and fair enough i could see how some could be tempted to turn to hard drugs. Legalising hard drugs will undoubtedly see a massive increase in robbery ,theft , and violence whatever corrupt statistics you can trawl up on the good old internet.
  19. Ive seen it once in Porth S.Wales and again in N.Ireland where theres skips inside compound fences with gates and cctv and its open hours to suit. Fair enough its manned and fair enough theres initial set up costs but its user friendly in that the skips are de-mountable truck boxes which are walk in and emptied promptly ,plus theres no "business" use. Both had a recycling area at the side for folks better bruck. Perhaps one wast , one nort and one sooth ?
  20. Legalising hard drugs and supplying them cheap or free through whatever system is objectively putting a safety net in place for loosers , magic , deficate on the folks wi ostheo arthritis and save the junkies. I propose most of the spade work being done here to free up legislation on behalf of the stunned is young folk wi a conscience that are thinking "oops turd, we're getting in a bit deep here" , perhaps one or two who like hash but refuse to recognise all drugs get shipped in en mass together and of course the good ol troll contingent. Legalising soft drugs and condoning hard drugs will alter nothing in respect to Shetland. Alcohol is legal and widely available but doesnt stop home made potent wine , bottom blasting beer brews or stills that blind you. As airy fairy drug legislation wont stop cheaper drugs being brought in .
  21. seems the most logical explanation yea, plus twartree weeks a poor inshore wadder
