  3. Really? Consultation process should be: 1. Consult widely with the public and all interested parties. 2. Listen and take account of what they say. 3. Make a decision based on 2. Consultation process SIC Buchan style: e.g. Scalloway School closure. 1. Take the decision 2. Consult widely with the public and all interested parties. 3. Don’t listen and take no account of what they say. objectively tho, council to one side, the westminster govt gave the whole of the whole countrys infrastructure funds to the bankers and left nothing to keep decent schooling where its needed n wanted , no schools anywhere ought to be shut , no roads should have potholes or any budgets unfairly slashed, closing the Scalloway school is both draconian and destructive but the root cause ultimately appears to lie in the hands of unaccountable greed elsewhere
  4. First rule of negativity - moan about issues without offering alterantives! Spin tends to be promoted by the people involved and as I have no involvement with the people involved or the Council I hardly think it can be spin. All I was trying to say was lets give it a chance and by all means if it ends up having been a complete waste of time with no results, I will join you in criticising it. Sorry posted twice as computer running slow reverting to good old non politically correct terms everybody relates to likely is not an alternative on here given the high standard of litterary side stepping and word shuffling , surely to relate to ordinary folk "spin" could be referred to as sharn (know fine well sharn will go in there)
  5. values might stir up a hornets nest in here , but promoting how value for money is attributed would be good ?? (maybe get shot down in flames again lol)

  14. my parents tried one of those things you put on the wall that sends out signals or something, but it didnt work. have you tried distraction? i got one of balls that you fill with treats and the dog rolls the ball to get them out, i only give it to him when somebody visits as hes a tad overly to say the least, (tho i do forget sometimes) but they do work, fill it with cat biscuits and only give it to him when hes barking, my pup going thru the same kind of thing now, and the ball does work as a distraction. not sure if would help but distraction very often does. i knew someone once who trained a little dog to stay out the cats bowl by panning it over the back wi a fire shovel
  15. its great being in the posiion to over write history wi a book yea , fact remains tho whats in the original document n how it wasnt followed in scotlands favour, so they just took it

  17. doot its a bit like un-inventing da atomic bomb , however i do whole heartedly agree about over consuming , blootered folk are a bloody menace , and the aftermath does cost a fortune in tears n hits nhs etc hard , but still , in reality is it no a slightly lesser evil to hash heads who cant be bothered to turn out and paranoid psychotics on hard stuff
  18. three fold revenge is no a religion , thats as bad as stoning folk in saudi , na you will need to try harder wi me. Bein a pretty shabby Christian am only into a little revenge occaisionally , but will definately be comitted to see fair play in the long run
  19. what a hoo haa over oohaa (or whatever its b'stardised to now) plus its no wonder the bills are so tame if this is the uproar over a bit of banter, next will be some dick measures the carbon emissions n taxes it , christ is it any wonder theres xenophobia
  20. perhaps , theres a massive grey area in the middle and for clarity , its plain to see the pagan/wicca prey on that, n perhaps more folk praying might lift the standards a bit , not the spoken standards but the actual standards carried out. Example that springs to mind is giving for the pleasure of giving rather as giving for the chance to move in on rewards
