    Boxing

Kahn dropped his guard but only a fraction as much as he has in the past. Definitely his best performance and toughest opponent so far, infact if he had faced him 2 or 3 fights ago Khan would have struggled. Khans hand speed was so fast and relentless St Clair could hardly get near him. Although far from the finished article Khans starting to look like the real deal.
  2. The right tool for the job ? http://www.vertikal.net/en/stories.php?id=1190 Of course it had to happen in Ireland.

    The Dons - Europe

Rangers field a team of 11 scotsmen in the second half against LA Galaxy last night. Not many SPL teams could manage that. Changed days indeed!
  4. I think the problem would be a lack of depth for a sunken tunnel.
  5. I've heard you can file a 50p down so that gaming machines can't distinguish them from a 10p. Now what would be the benefit in that ? I can remember if you covered one half of an old 10p with silver paper you could use it in a pay phone as a 50p
  6. The Ethnics phrase was used purley as a reply to Bigmouth's question.
  7. UHA in Lerwick started of as nothing more than a big party for lerik boys. A way of letting off steam after a hard winter (tells you all about it in the programme) the Viking thing was only eked on as it became more organised. Plenty of soothmoothers take part in UHA , the current rule is you have to have lived in Shetland for 5 years. As for ethnics probably not many have taken part but that’s mainly because there's not many here. Just because something’s not completely politically correct or inclusive doesn't make it a bad thing. We've lost so much of what makes us special to the PC police already. If you enjoy it as a spectacle then just leave it at that. UHA doesn't need analysed.

  9. I think the word your looking for is Neanderthol
  10. What it's against fire regulations to stand or dance at a concert ? Or maybe it's a known fact that this is going to be sitting only concert hall ?
  11. I take it there's room for another 200 standing in the 350 seat auditorium or the seats can be taken out for standing concerts ?
  12. The input on your TV could be faulty if what your saying is you get the same fault wheather useing the PC or VCR to input the signal. Does your TV have a scart socket as well ? You could use a scart adapter and try the signal in your scart socket to see if that works.
  13. Naw joost a peerie wind-up. I'm familiar with both platforms but the Mac is designed with the arty farty stuff in mind.
  14. The new Microsoft Zune mp3 player may put the cat amongst the pigeons Can you use a Mac as a computer too? I just thought they were for playing music or something.
  15. Large Sheesh, "You like everything on, my friend ?" The Sheesh from the new Kebab shop is superb. Donner meats not to great but sometimes requires 10 pints to start tasting good. Proper chilli sauce too.
  16. This one should possibly be under a "strange but true" section. http://www.miketheheadlesschicken.org/ True story ?
  17. Cherry lips & floral gums. Probably full o a kinds o hellary bit tasted damned good. Don't think you can get them any more unless anyone knows different
  18. This sounds like a terrible incident and I hope the victim has a full recovery. Although I can't help getting annoyed at Shetlanders inability to separate truth from rumour. If you don't know for sure what happened in cases like this it's better to keep shut.
  19. If you check out this link http://www.flavourproductions.co.uk/bressay.htm# You will see that the simple design would be very low maintenance compared to the Forth bridges (in fact there is no comparison) and the volume of traffic would be miniscule compared to even the Kincardine Bridge. In fact there isn’t an argument on an economic level as far as a fixed link V ferries goes, fixed link wins every time. And as far as I know this has always been a transport issue and not a housing issue so to use the argument that the bridge is being built to house Lerwick’s overspill is really unfounded. It currently costs £10 for two people and a car to Bressay so you could get more people further for a £10 taxi.
