I've become addicted to 'Theme Time Radio Hour' - the radio show presented by Bob Dylan. He's a surprisingly excellent DJ, and plays music you won't hear anywhere else - Frank Sinatra followed by some blues guy you've never heard of, followed by Blur - you will love some of it and possibly hate some of it, but it's fantastic listening.
You can download all of the shows from this site:

Yes, I think there'd be no problem getting the audience in. I am looking into it at the moment - I've contacted his management to find out about fees, so we'll see what they say.

Yes, I think you're right. It is just such a shame there's nowhere quite suitable in Shetland (yet). Perhaps the best would be to have a big night in the Clickimin, then a little gig on another night - in one of the halls. Or Busta House!!

You're a philistine Jordy-boy! When the big man plays you should sit down and shut up, not stand slurping your pint, talking about football!

The Town Hall would be a better bet, but somebody would have to organise it. There are several people who'd be happy to do it though.

I can't quite imagine how £4000 could be spent on clothes, especially "the basic stuff". The last jumper I bought cost £1.25 from Cancer Research, and it had a curious stain printed on it for free! If I have to spend more than £15 on a pair of jeans I usually spend a couple of hours in tears afterwards. Then I spend the next three days hating myself for supporting slave labour. Then I wear them.

As I recall it, previous attempts were stalled due to Mr Thompson rather high fees.
Still, if it were possible it would be fantastic. He's a great performer. If you could get him plus band it would be even better.

Phil is never going to forgive his mum for forgetting his name like that!
