  1. i wouldnt have thought they could blend in easily enough to avoid detection if they are comming that way somebodys got thier eyes shut
  2. couldnt agree more i have a 2 year old daughter of my own and i know for a fact if some sick in the head person ruined her life id take his away, the shetland islands being close knit was my reasons for my question as surely he,d never be able to live thier without anybody knowing his crimes and him being sent to coventry or worse as a result. a trip on a fishing boat with no return would be a good trip for this young man, its later in life that the victims of abuse suffer and if quality of life is all we really have i dont see why the punishments cant be more fitting rehabilitation of these people isnt an option in my opinion to even comit sexual offences in my book shouts a damaged mind megans law is a must, it shows in prisons that thier segregated for thier own protection just how much they are scum of the earth they really dont deserve a life children are our future and should be protected at all costs
  3. sometimes these kind of people dont make it back out
  4. would his life be worth living if he came back to shetland?
  5. on the title of the topic it does sound stupid on te councils part i mean thiers schemes for long term unemployed called new deal down south and its mostly those exact type of jobs that are filled by it and these jobs arent open to anybody else on the subject of driving down wages this is true whatever you say my dad is an insulation engineer (worked on voe too ;o) in his trade now they are being outbidded on contracts by tens of thousands by firms set up to strictly employ polish romanians ect, theyve even had unqualified imagrents comming onto thier jobs takeing pictures of thier work for thier own port folios to pass off as thier own to get thier foot in the door then they lern as they go aka chancers. chancers are nothing new thier in all trades the argument is in that thier now setting up thier own firms and poaching contracts with cheaper labour i hear this is happening across the board in trades this is worrying. as said above i have no problem with anybody wanting to better thier life thier families life in anyway they can thats what we all strive for in life because quality of life is all thier is to work for why we are here no matter what your views are you will not change anything its the way of the world we are looked upon as very lucky by those less fortunate in whatever poorer countries you choose to look at ofcourse thier going to come here to richer more civilised places in hope of better things walk a mile in that persons shoes echoes to me i know what id want to do. in my city we have asian districts west indian districts african districts now polish districts with shops that cater with signs you cannot read if not from that decent how would you deal with that? another interesting fact is that so many imagrents especially asian are allowed into the uk as they have more children per household than the british thierfor increasing future tax contributions and atempting to see off any predicted shortfalls the ironic thing is i have two cousins that have moved to bulgaria both have bought houses for under 5k and with saveings are living very comfortable lives my dads work mate has also done the same and is leaving next month to retire out thier these places are truelly beutiful it must be very hard for them to leave just to work we,ll swap countries at this rate lol violence murder drugs is on the increase in the uk our reasons are differnt for leaving to thiers but i wonder how much of this increase is related to migrants comming from tougher countries a fair bit id say god bless shetland it still sounds like heaven to me

  8. googles a great tool hope it isnt a problem just came across it and thought it,d be of help
  9. hi all came across this it works well on my pc thought id share it with you guys hope it helps 1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. If you're using a brodband connection you'll load pages 2-3 times faster now.

  18. not all bad the more supermarkets you have the more they will compete with each other for your custom hence lower prices and cheaper shopping, out of the big supermarkets here id say sainsburys is the best followed by morrisons then tesco asda and co op but on the other hand if it drives local stores out of the market then its not a good thing
  19. hi all i,ve been browsing your forums for sometime now and thought it about time i said hello. so HELLOOOOOOO ALL seems like a great place very interesting and funny, im funnily enough from the same dark hole of a city as damsaxon and can confirm all he says lol i have family in shetland lerwick and have been planning for some time to visit be gentle lol my mum was originally from thurso caithness and was kidnapped by my dad after working in the oil buisness in shetland ive to and frowed from nottingham to thurso all of my life and is why i have exceptional qualities compared to the people that souround me in this city LOL it is very true of people in the south being selfish and not very friendly, i count my friends i grew up with in thurso closer than my friends here as when i visit the north coast its like ive never been away and smiles all round i love the outdoors miss the highlands terribly, im a keen photographer a motorsport nut not so much the bikes as i had a very nasty exp on one while i was building my track car and it cost me along long recovery lol dam cars they never look finally i must congratulate you all on being from such an amazeing place from an outsiders view i dont think i,ll want to go home if i visit lol see you around the forum hopefully
