  3. This is a call out to anyone under/or the age of 18 and up for a heavy contact sport. This season we made our way to the Semi finals of some scottish cup. This was done with our Latitude & 1 win. We then went on to play our semi finals game against Robert Gordons Academy and loss 88-0. This may have been because we had a squad of 15 year olds and theyt had 18 year old. who knows but if you know anyone that may be interested then please enlighten them. Training is on Saturday mornings at 10am. It has stopped for 4 weeks but will be back on after the holidays. Cheers
  4. Well remember hes the New manager and this is just training so from what i see, hes just wanting to see what he has avaliable for him. and 7 goalies, thats most of the goalies in the league there so obviously hes a little curiosu about that position
  5. yup, costacurta, seaman & stanley Matthews also, its usually because either they are still in the prime or that they are a good vibe & good experience for the team. but usually it tends to be the keepers & defenders, especially in italy where they play for many years just because they have learnt all the tricks in the trade and can pass them on to the next generation.
  6. Duncan Bray Ian Bray Craig Dinwoodie Alan Duncan Leighton Flaws Robert Geddes Stuart Hay Merv Jamieson Ross Jamieson Michael Johnson James Johnson Kevin Main Dominic Mann John Montgomery Peter Peterson Stuart Smith Steven Umphray Karl Williamson Bobby Wiseman i know a few retired but this is from the island games so please dont be too hard on me
  7. Im Setting up a challange on a football managment game of making shetland and taking them from a non-league status to be spl champions, now i know it sounds unlikely but its for a bit of fun. Anyways i have the team made and stadium & kits etc.. sorted but what awaits is the actually squad. i was wondering if anyone would be albe to tell me players posistions, that is all i am needing as i found the island games website with d.o.b & pics etc...for all the players who took part. If you know of anyone who has since joined the squad could you please tell me as much about them as possible. I Also require back-room staff eg. coaches, physio, chairmen? etc... thank you very much in advanced
  8. dats wit i toght, fae whit ive seen mist footballers primes are between 27-32 so if the classed as auld when der 24 dan wit aboot folk lik sheringham. theyl be gitin da zimmer frames on da go!
  9. you cud pit dem in da under 9s league but dat dusna mean it wid dae dem any good. if dey canu git a team tigider fur a game in the A league, and the B league. Whits sayin dey wil git wan fur da works league??
  10. i have to say that when that was on the go i was all up for it, as a fan. I think that would benefit teams like Yell & Burra if they stayed in the B but the B merged with the works league.

    Guitars

I...to be honest have a load of crap. A Shine stratocaster i got 3 years ago for christmas and a Gould XG (SG Model) that i bought in July. The XG has a suprsingly good sound for a guitar that only cost £190 and the Shine is one the i Co-own with a younger sibling.
  12. i have used many in my time some i prefered more than others but really it depends on what kind of music you intend on making. One i'd recommend though is Acid Pro. Fruity Loops is also good, along with Traktor
  13. and if it is then why not make two parallel leagues at the top that run, the better teams in league 1, and the not so good in league 2. and then at the end of it, say the top 4 teams from both leagues go through knockout stages eg. semi's, quater then the final. and that can decide whos won the league. meaning teams like Burra & Yell are competing in top flight football but will only have to face the really good teams if they do well, and if they do well they will be motivated to go on and try and win the league. This can be done while the B league is ongoing as a second tier without getting messed up. You could even say 3 teams from the two parallel leagues and then have 2 from the B league compete also, which could make things interesting.
  14. how many teams are they in the b league that are not a B team?
  15. That is very good news! i think if anyone wants to go for international glory then the best we can do is try some of the leagues well known around Scotland? an if we do well we could even focus on them
  16. JVRTENNENTS Wrote: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shetland_national_football_team we have a national team....as wikipedia tells use. were not part of UEFA or FIFA but we are part of the European NF-Board...this included smaller islands/ countries such as: The Basque Country, Greenland, Orkney, Gibraltar, N. Cypres, The canary islands etc... So It Is mixed with some national & some non-national, national teams. And were....one of them? Also if Oceanian islands with populations of just over say 500 can pull together a national team, and caribbean teams can do the same then us with a team..but no manager, should be able to manage. I mean even though we all know there probably bottom of the fifa rankings etc... they are still recognized. And after that, people would find out about the talent avaliable in shetland, and it would help promote football ALOT if people knew they could represent shetland Internationally "Broadly-speaking, there are three categories of Non-FIFA national team: Regional Associations The first, and most common, are teams which represent the regional associations of established footballing nations. These oversee local football in their respective regions, and are part of a network of associations that contribute to the national association as a whole. A good example of this would be Jersey, whose members are also members of the English FA. The association, clubs, and people of these territories may be content to be a part of the larger network, yet may still enter representative teams into non-FIFA matches." (I have only copied the 1st one as it is basically our situation. with us instead of jersey, and the Scottish instead of English FA)
  17. that is the same in every league but in our system the bottom ones stay the bottom ones, and as they stay bottom there base of player selection begins to fade just as what will happen to Yell. in a few seasons they will not even have a team competing in ANY senior league OR they will be forced to play U14s & U16s teams as the seniors, meaning some players will be playing for 3 different clubs a week. and in the end they will just give up and what will be left? the memory of the team that stuck in, and in even when they couldn't make a full team or the SFA who caused the forced the team to its death? (a bit too far) but yea ofcourse it will be the commitee who chose for them to carry on struggling.
  18. i have to say, i don't see whats so bad about loaning players. but thats coming from a juvenile players point of view. loans are great for getting someone who is maybe not a frist team pick for there side, out to get full games and a respectible place in a needier team, also to get a name for themselves and show there manager what there capible of. From what ive gathered, its Yell really thats requiring players yea? well if i remeber it was saying that they would need about 4-5 places till summer. theres obviously going to be more than 5 players in the SFA who arn't first team abilty for there club, this is because of the lack of games and switchin from A team to B team etc... but if they were on loan it would be alot easier for them as they'd most probably know what part they were playing in the team.
  19. :grrr: he has no idea what hes doing, he thinks this is all just fun and games. hes messing with peoples lives here! Im sure i heard something about his next transfer targets are the whole side of the Slovakian League Champions! Im a Loyal hearts fan & im gonna stay with them through thick and thin but he is an absaloute idiot feeling better now ie gotten that off my chest...
