Im all for positive posts about shetland its a wonderful place, however its the council that get on my tits they drag it down and refuse to change they spend our money on useless things like digging up the road for no reason and sending 5 or 6 guys out in 3 or 4 vehicles and a digger to smooth out a bump thats not even in the road its on the side that a kiddie could do with a plastic spoon, they hold up all the traffic with non functional traffic lights and then when they have finished they move an inch down the road and find another crack to fill in on the side of the road,i know this keeps the highways guys in work but if they are gonna throw their money about then why dont they do something useful like build an Eden type project like the one in Cornwall,or let center parks build their holiday complex they wanted to build but the S.I.C said no,or they could have an under cover theme park or a proper holiday park like the one at Cosgrove,or a good idea would be to restore Shetland back to its original glory and start a tree and shrub planting project or link the islands with bridges or tunnels and stop polluting the Shetland air and waters with their dirty out of date ferry system which why im on the subject i do agree with the other guy from yell that was moaning about the ferrys in that in the long run it would actually save them money or is that to simple for them to work out,my point is that all of the above would create jobs and industry and make shetland not only a beautiful place to live and visit but also be somewhere where when people come actually have something to do and then wanna come back other than drive round and stare at the same old landscape go home and not wanna come back as some people have said "i thought there would have been a little more to do and see"
