  1. think they should state why it failed and photos.
  2. completely impractical Yes there may be some sections of road that would be suitable and for a short period, but then what? do you swap tyres over when you get to a clean patch or the snow melts? however to answer your question, if you cant find anyone here then id order from south and have them fitted when they get delivered.
  3. it seems that standard propane is indeed suitable for auto gas, however by the time you factor in the cost of a gas bottle in shetland and the effort to pump it out into the car and the dross you get in the bottom of the bottles causing reliability issues its not worth the hastle, even before paying the vat man. Its maybe suitable if you have a large gas tank for heating your house and have a take off from that, im sure the bulk gas cost would come down. perhaps the new gas plant at sullom will be a source of cheaper gas in the future?
  4. isnt lpg used in vehicles a propane and butane mixture?
  5. ok ta, seems there arent many suppliers and what there is means conversion isnt worthwhile SGS is too far off my usual route to make a visit.
  6. where can I get LPG in Shetland apart from J&K Andersons? just to see what others are charging does highland fuels have a pump at the gremister junction?

  10. you can stop messages from being picked up if you delete them from your outbox before they are read.
  11. trying to find local direct numbers to big companies isnt easy, its usually just an 0870 number, I did try a number I had but it was either engaged or not answered, so it was therefore inconclusive as to if I had the correct number. trot off and troll some place else
  12. http://www.mareel.org/ What an appalling home page, its just a jumble of stuff, no structure, no clear navigation Why are there no prices listed for the 'normal' film tickets other than in each individual film? so I have to look at each individual film before I know how much its going to cost? Also booking films goes by the date of the month, so looking at the drop down list I have to know what date say this Saturday is before I can book - the day of week needs adding to the list I think.
  13. Digital TV is just referring to the way its transmitted, it has no bearing on what media the original is on.
  14. ...erm 1st line says 'Scotland's banks close on the same days as the English'

  21. actually 1.3 is the hdmi version, but dont worry too much about that. A 1.3 cable will do just fine
  22. The online retailers have no problem re glazing old frames - assuming they are in serviceable order. However unless they are expensive frames the cost is comparable to a new set any way.
  23. In your opinion... As far as I was aware they were never officially inspected after he was stopped to ascertain their roadworthy state. The point you made was regards lack of MOT and Insurance was the cause for us to be at greater risk of injury. Which is not correct.
