  1. This thread has been going on so long, I've lost the thread, but I do know it seems to be putting all of Shetlands youngsters under one umbrella, that is not so, the majority are well behaved, hard working and normal. Yes, we do have a minority, and always have, the same as anywhere else that are hell bent on causing trouble at every opportunity, nothing new there, it was the same when I was younger than I am now. The difference is there was a price to pay, doesn't work anymore, they can't be physically punished and nobody can make them do anything else, they know they can't be touched, somewhere along the line a solution will have to be found as what I have seen after moving back into Lerwick, I shudder to think what 5 years down the line will bring, I am surrounded in a good area with very young children doing there best to destroy everything that is provided for them, not all of course, but the element is there, it's not fair for them all to be guilty, that is not the case, the responsibilty lies with the parents and to a certain degree with the schools, if they don't help, it will just continue, an age old problem, my sympathy's lie with the good youngsters we have....

Crazy Little Thing Called Love does it for me, although I love everything Queen has done, watch the Wembley dvd on a regular basis with my 9 year old grandson, he loves it too, plays the drums along with the group, we also went to the musical, We Will Rock You when it was in Aberdeen, can't get enough of it, fabulous...

  5. I see no point in mumping, I tried for tickets last week from Ticketmaster and got nowhere. Thanks to Davie Gardener, we got the opportunity to mump, things are looking up, what next is on the horizon, it makes no difference here or anywhere else, we have a limited number of tickets for anything, I will give it a go again tomorrow, what will be will be, best of luck to you all...
  6. Hi, I'm reading The Valley of the Horses by Jean M Auel, a follow on from The Clan of the Cave Bears, quite different from what I usually read, and after a slow start I now want to know what happens next, there are a few pages you might like to speed through, but it is interesting to imagine what life was like back in the mists of time and the hardships they had to endure, no Clipper lighters then, lol, rubbing stones together, I can relate to that, we all have to learn things even now, too much technology is my problem, but a winter of nightclasses is at hand, I can pass them on when I'm finished, got to order the rest now, let me no if you're interested...
