  1. Does anybody know why an alarm has been sounding at the main Lerwick Telephone Exchange building today? It has been going off every 10 mins or so and then lasts an ear piercing 10 mins or so before the cycle is repeated again . It started about 11am today and is still going on at 5pm We live 100 yards away and have sore heads because of it but I hate to think what the residents of Water Lane must be going through I did try to report it to BT but after of 14 minutes of getting transferred from number to number, nobody could help me because I did not know the postcode of their exchange! If anybody knows of a local BT person who could be notified, it would be much appreciated - and would help the sore heads!
