Im getting a tattoo this comming week and i want to get something that means something to shetlanders, written in dialect, a short phrase or saying...like;

'A freend i da wye is better as a penny i da purse.'

or

'Never greet for onything at canna greet for you.'

im interested to see what people come with.

Dammit! I wish I'd looked here first. I've just started a thread in the history/culture section regarding the Shetland word "ky-act", after seeing the letter in this weeks ST. Would some of you true Shetlanders have a look at it for me, and see if you know any more?
