Graeme_Storey
@ GR - you did a cracking job there - very well spotted!
Pooks
I had planned to do a whole bunch of then and now shots a while back but never found the time. Example that a took o' Fitful/Sumburgh Farm:- http://www.crcshetland.co.uk/cache/anomalous__DSC_3522.jpg_595.jpg Quite an odd feeling knowing that you are standing in exactly the same spot on the side of a hill where J.D Ratter stood many years before. Graeme_Storey
Nice one, Craig, and impressive how J D Ratter also got part of your thumb in his picture - a bit of deja vu perhaps

Troglodytes
Some more photos I need help with! No 1 http://i385.photobucket.com/albums/oo297/chatelaine79/Lerwick2a.gif No.1 I thought was in Lerwick but now not so sure as can't quite place where its at, girl on right is Margaret Hunter from Hillswick taken around 1940, does anyone know the other two? Fairly sure the lady on the left of the picture is my granny - Joey Robertson (nee Johnson), wife of Lindsey Robertson. Don't recognise the others, and don't know of any connection with a Margaret Hunter. Mulling over the location, but pretty sure it must be Lerwick. Pic No. 2 is almost certainly not Shetland - never yet saw one of those wire-linked wooden fences here, but they were common between gardens in parts of Aberdeen; dunna recognise any of the folk. No. 2 http://i385.photobucket.com/albums/oo297/chatelaine79/nef002-1.gif No. 2 is in Lerwick, year and people unknown -- any ideas?
Troglodytes
Well, now I know where it is, thanks to everyone, just need to know who the 2 women are with Margaret!Dunno if you're still open to replies on this, as I've just found this tonight, and a new member - I did try to reply to this somewhere else, but don't know if I was successful!! Anyway, I'm high 90's % sure the lass who is not looking at the camera, with her hands in her pockets (on R or L depending on which way round the photo is .....!!) is my granny, Joey Robertson (nee Johnson), wife of Lindsey Robertson. Don't know of a connection to the other wifie though.
