sharalee99
Has anyone heard if the schools are opening/closing tomorrow? (Monday)Particularly Anderson. Thanks
nautim
Listen tp SIBC and/or Radio Orkney. If the schools are going to be shut they will have the information. Radio Orkney is on at 7.30am, but I think that SIBC might even have the info at 7am.
sharalee99
Thanks for that, but the reason I'm asking is I can't get reception for SIBC at home, so I'm kinda stuck!
MJ
If you can face it the 6minutes to 7 news on Radio Scotland has all school closures for Aberdeen city, -shire, Orkney and Shetland. If, big if, they've decided to shut them by then.

lerwicklass
Not all clear though! Side roads are treacherous in places.
piggywiggie
main roads are priority though. some side roads dont get done as the council dont think that its a priority road.
sharalee99
It's not just the roads they go on though, it's the forecast too. I hear the forecast is quite bad.Anderson 5th year beanfeast tomorrow, this is why the concern. They'll all be so disappointed
piggywiggie
dont get me started on the gritting, those poor men who drive the gritters give up so much time to do it and people ALWAYS complain. They will no doubt be out first thing tomorrow morning to clear the roads. They do the best they can. Besides they are only 'allowed' to drive for so long. They just do what they get told.

piggywiggie
Well you cant say its because the roads were not clear because they were.It was maybe the risk factor that things have not gone ahead
