Does anyone know anything regarding this subject? (Mainland Shetland)

I know there are Kung Fu classes going on in Yell (of all places).

Also that there were Karate classes at the Clickimin at one time. Although their website no longer exists, so I don't know it they are still on the go.

I'm looking to get into something like kickboxing, taekwondo or systema.

Boxing is an instant 'no'... I'd want to train my legs aswell.

Would it be the case that I'd have to move to mainland Scotland to have any choice at all? :(

Thanks in advance for ANY factual info' you can share.

Shetland fencing club:

Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings at Clickimin.

Not much better than fencing for that.

Remarkably, the Shetland club is one of the best in Scotland, with Andy being one of the national coaches, regularly turning out Commonwealth team members and medalists..

Hi there,

there is boxing on every Wednesday in lerwick at 7 o'clock up at the stanny hill hall and if your looking to work out your legs there's allot more feet work in boxing than u might think as all your power in you punches comes from your feet and up. and then there's all your workouts and drills have allot ov leg work in it
