The Viking Health Study is a research project which is investigating risk factors for diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, stroke and glaucoma. Adult Shetlanders with at least two grandparents from Shetland are being invited to take part in the whole study. Participants will be asked to fill in a questionnaire and make two visits to a research clinic in Lerwick. Adults with fewer than two grandparents from Shetland are invited to contribute to a health survey by filling in the questionnaire.
