Ghostrider
In other words, approx 600+ from the 900+ participants in UHA are likely impostors. Vikings are still running rampant through Scotland as, according to the researchers, 29.2 per cent of descendants in Shetland have the DNA http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/heritage/vikings-still-running-rampant-in-scottish-dna-1-3781684 Edited May 24, 2015 by Ghostrider

Ghostrider
^ I'm sure the Committee will already be working on implementing DNA testing to ensure participants are only "true bloods" to pre-empt that happening.

MuckleJoannie
Interesting BBC radio programme about why looking at your genes doesn't prove anything about your ancestry. Being told you're descended from the Romans, the Vikings, the Celts, or that you're a direct descendant of Charlemagne or Genghis Khan is both true, and meaningless. Some population geneticists have likened such story-telling to "genetic astrology". http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05vy4kb
