Hi, I´m Alexis Uribe Green, my great father John Green Irvine and his wife Jane Green Stout arrived to Chile in 1888 from Edinburgh, but before Edinburgh they born and lived in Shetland.

I wonder if there is still someone with the surname Green in Shetland.

The family appear in bayenne web site:

If you have some information of the surname Green I would appreciate it.

Bye

The surname Green seems to have died out in Shetland. The 1911 census lists 21 people of that surname. 3 brothers, Joseph, Malcolm and David appear in the WW1 Roll of Service. None of them are listed by Bayanne as having married. The only male Green who appears to have living descendants is George Green.
