Is there new streetlights goin up in Cunnisburgh eenoo?


I towt da SIC took dem doon a few years back

The SIC decided last year to replace all of its street lights with LEDs and some of the lamp posts/the increasing number of ‘stumps’ that have appeared in the last 5-10 years.


I assume it’s part of that?

Streetlight upgrades underway


THE FIRST phase of a three-year programme to upgrade Shetland’s streetlights to LED is now underway...... The project to make all streetlights LED started recently in Cunningsburgh.

Came across this article on the web sometime ago, so I guess LEDs may solve one problem but would appear to create another.
