  1. Check out the debut album from local indie pop-rock band Trookers, which has been called an 'utter joy'. Get it on CD for a stocking filler from High Level Music, The Bop Shop, Brae Garage, Tagon Stores, Hillswick Shop, Vidlin Shop, Andrew Halcrow's Shop and Grooves in Kirkwall - or online. It's also on Spotify. Featuring members of First Foot Soldiers, The Revellers, Vair, Big Time Quell... “Hints of Aztec Camera, early REM perhaps, bits of Divine Comedy and even some Randolph’s Leap in there…if you investigate the album, it’s got some real jazzy flourishes as well" - Vic Galloway, BBC Radio Scotland “Blended with top class musicianship and some incredibly catchy songs, they are on to a winner” - The Scottish Sun “Quirky pop done right…say hello to your new ear worm. I challenge you not to have a smile on your face” - BBC Social’s Claire Lim "An excellent piece of work - melodic, angular, witty, enigmatic" - Tom Morton "Remarkable" - RockSport Radio
  2. I'm not sure there is much (if any) support available. There is this Facebook group... https://www.facebook.com/groups/1582384525120680/
  3. I'd pay to listen to her long before paying to listen to the Mumfords. IMHO her songs and style would benefit massively from her performing with a full band instead of just her and the guitar though. I believe she's just recorded an EP with full band so your wish might come true!
  4. Indeed, she will go far. You can read a Q&A with her on my Scottish music blog, The Daily Dose (www.thedailydose.co.uk), with a nice little video embedded too. *shameless plug over*
  5. I had some food at Flames on Sunday - very good and great staff. My friend says the pizzas are as good as Dominos/Pizza Hut etc.
  6. The Red Show are due to record their new EP very soon and the band are inviting people to pre-order the five song EP for a fiver to help fund the recording process. In return, you will be emailed a free copy of our 2009 EP, 'Little Miss Lynch Mob', as well as receiving a thanks in the new EP (and obviously be mailed the new EP as soon as it is ready) There's more info at http://www.theredshow.co.uk/prebuy.html, where you can pay via PayPal. Thank you
  7. I uploaded a Q&A with Ten Tonne Dozer today on my new Scottish music blog, The Daily Dose. You can check it out here: http://www.thedailydose.co.uk
