Chris Helme, ex-lead singer of 90's indie guitar band, The Seahorses, returns to Shetland in support of his latest solo album, The Rookery. Chris first rose to prominence as the frontman in (at the time) ex-Stone Roses guitarist, John Squire's band The Seahorses where he sang on hit singles such as Blinded By The Sun, Love Me And Leave Me and Love Is The Law. After one album, Do It Yourself, The Seahorses disbanded and Chris went onto forge a solo career and launch his own band, The Yards. Chris last played in Shetland in 2009 and anyone who attended those gigs will know that Chris is a truly unique performer with an amazing voice and a talent to really engage his audience.
