it would be interesting to have a nationwide vote and find out what the English feel about Scotland leaving as well as what the Welsh feel about eventual independance. what happens if England wants to lose Scotland but Scotland wants to stay....just wondering.

The £54 is what seemed to be on offer for places like Fetlar who were the last to be reconnected at near the 48hr mark. As we lost all heating all cooking and most of the food in our fridge ( why as it was cold is beyond me) it seems very fair.naturally we are looking for a gas cooker now....All admiration to those who worked in the weather to get supplys back.

There are so many talented people in Da Noth Isles that any outlet should be there? perhaps? A good starting point would be to get every one interested collected together-I know from random blog reading there are lots of craft dablers. people who's output is too small for a business or even perhaps a stall but who have talent etc.

I noticed in the news today that cornwall's independance movement has raised its head again. perhaps as potential small states an alliance needs forming???

since moving here had engineers out 4 times. we were told in mid dec no appts til mid jan. somehow got them here. problem is several of the engineers do not want to be here although others are very nice guys. one wanted to meet us at ferry with new box as he did not want to get stuck here for four hours. problem was not box it was wiring. we have continual problems with channels just dieing for hours on end. I feel we pay enough and for enough years to get a decent service but boy do you have to be hard on the phone. The indian call centre does not help with the insessant 'thank you mam for your call I am going to try to process a solution would you like to proceed' and talking you through what you have already done because they can not turn the page to skip it.Then there is the continual arguement over please be pressing this that or the other and their disbelief that the correct replies are not comming up.....finally after so long you lose the will to live if you are lucky to get to book and engineer and the next one is march or something.......grrr.

After living in England find Mid Yell health centre and Gilbert Blain Hospital wonderful.

Can't speak for Lerwick Dr's.

Where we came from A&E or walk in is only way to see a dr as you can only book on the day and all appointments gone every day by 8am. In our experience you have to get better to cope with 6hr wait in walk in centre.
