Christmas Story - Shetland Style

I have a basic plot for a short story, or maybe a long one.

Based around the various ideas that have been portrayed in films, books, etc., and which tell the Christmas story.

To give you an idea what I'm thinking.

Just Imagine "A Christmas Carol" (Dickens or Muppets), but with Shetland charcters, and written in Shetland dialect.

What I'd like advice/help with, is:

Which persons from public life in Shetland could be "loosely" written into the story, and as which characters. (Example: Scrooge = Da Flea)

Obviously no actual names would be used, just maybe hints. ;)

As this could be a touchy subject, because of Shetlink T&Cs, any suggestions should be PM'd to me.

Thanks in advance for your help.

And assuming the story comes out worth reading, I'll bung it on Shetlink during the xmas season.

Cheers,

Da Auld Een
